I'm really frustrated with the awful officiating in the NFL which is determining who wins the game. It is way past time that Goodell gets his head out of his ass and does something to correct the situation. It is really pathetic.

The Vikings commited blatant pass interference on the Jets last drive that determined that game. What a mess.
Yep, the NFL must implement a 4th quarter challenge for any play, call or non-call. The refs aren't getting any better they have to stop deciding who wins the game.

The officials call whatever they feel like calling instead of being fair.

So far this season, it is nothing but flags and delays. They are either calling 15 yard penalties on perfectly legal hits or they are not calling anything on blatant offenses. Either way, you can count on at least 1-2 egregious penalties per game that no one including the commentators to the NFL rule analysts and experts agree was right to radically jeopardize the direction of the outcome of the game. Players are fed up with it. Just last week, I saw one of the top safeties in the league say we aren't even playing football anymore.

Instead of calling penalties on the known, blatant violations, they are calling penalties on things they just think might have happened and penalize it just to be sure they don't miss handing out a penalty.

When Vegas is a sponser and they control 2/3's of the advertising, you don't think they're going to allow the teams to decide who wins, do you?

The games they've screwed up just in KC alone adds up to more than the last three years alone.

The sport is not overly complicated. The rules are though. The violence is legislated somewhat. We see the injuries anyway. And there are people who want to ban the sport.

It has sucked for decades...One of the reasons I don't watch anymore.
:TH_WAY~113:  exactly. IIt has sucked major big time ever sense the early 2000's when a certain team went to many superbowls because they always got the calls and the other teams got the bad calls at the most crucial times and you could not even breath on that quarterback of that team without getting a yellow flag where the rest of the quarterbacks yellow flags were never thrown for much more vicious hits on them... Goddel is as corrupt as politicians are, worst NFL commissioner ever hands down,no contest.

I myself dont even watch the Rams anymore because of NFL officiating, they got wayyyyy too much power. the chiefs are the only team i ever watch now because Mahomes is an easy HOF QB in the future,he is really exciting to watch,if not for him,i would have ZERO interest in the NFL these days. speaking of Mahomes,we get to watch him tonight.

because of NFL officating, with the exception of the chiefs because of mahomes, the only NFL football i ever watch now is vintage old NFL games from the glory days in the 70's and 80;s and before then.

Umpires in the MLB are vetted through years of experience and evaluations. The requirements for NFL refs are much lower and we see the result.
When the NFL decides it wants full-time, professional refereees, things night change. When your Referee and Line Judge have regular 9-5 M-F jobs then try to officiate on Sundays, you’re never going to get a good product.

Wasn’t pass interference.

You need better WR.

Thus the need for an additional 4th quarter challenge on calls/non-calls. We continue to see the Refs change the outcome of games which is the Cardinal Sin of officiating.

I'd also give the coaches one challenge for the last two minutes. Too many games are decided in that time frame to not allow any sort of challenges.

Yeah I meant that the 4th quarter challenge would be for the entire 4th quarter. That's bizarre how they disallow challenges for the most critical 2 minutes of the game.
