As it pertains to the PUBLIC AIRWAYS, I think something like an FCC must exist.
Likewise the FCC should have maintained limits to the amount of MSM that any single person or corporation could own.
Thanks to young Mr. Powell working on behalf of the captains of the MSM idustry, of course, the FCC betrayed that trust.
Here's the thing, regulations are not the problem, BAD REGULATIONS are the problem.
In that sense, I am more than just a little sympathetic to our libertarian brothers and sisters (and thei bigger brothers and sisters the real anarchists) who object to giving any government any power over us.
In that sense I am also sympathetic to those of you who cling to your guns in hopes that they might give you some small measure of control over bad government.
Sadly mankind is a social creature AND a selfish creature, too.
And since we are, by nature, prone to cooperating, but at the same time forced to compete, having some system in place to keep the cooperating possible, while allowing healthy competition to reward the more productive among us, is a balancing act that we will never get right, but must keep trying to do, anyway.
