Just found out elevators return around 70% of the energy they use. Could it be the design of the generator? where is the wasted energy going? It can't all be heat loss.

I bet there is a size, and I could be talking the size of stadium here, but there is a size you could build a Oxygen Hydrogen mix explosive, and with a thick enough steel casing, and enough blast from the size, you could set off fusion this way without the assistance of any primary.
