I don't either, Mr. Hossfly. Andrew Jackson initiated the Trail of Tears. That unfairly ended almost all Indian property ownership east of the Mississippi in the lower 48, except those who had intermarried and had blue-eyed children. He and his fellow indian-exterminators did it in a merciless way.

I'm not particularly fond of Andrew Jackson either. I like that he was a war hero, but he was an awful president. The Cherokee followed the law and fought with Georgia government to keep their land, and won, but Jackson put a gun to their heads and forced them to relocate, despite following the law. If anything, the Trail of Tears taught me how ******* NECESSARY the second amendment is. You can follow the law of a government to the letter and they can STILL use the military to oppress you.
As for who to replace him well... I agree with the OP, that I'd prefer MLK as well. His message has been forgotten over the past few years by liberals -- Judge people by character, not skin color. But Harriet Tubman? I like how she helped organizing a secret route to freeing slaves, but she didn't really do anything to change our civilization any. We should leave than spot for the man that lead the civil rights movement and ended segregation.
