That's exactly my point. Throughout the year we put up displays to celebrate an actual holiday. Halloween is Halloween decorations, Valentines Day us typically hearts, Easter bunny rabbits and so on. July 4th people put up American flags. I guess in this example we need to start flying the Russian flag on July 4th as not to offend anyone? A case certainly could have been made to not put a satan display next to Christmas decorations which are there to celebrate a particular holiday. The city council members were weak and had no backbone. The Concord mayor got it right. Sounds like the statue was knocked down anyway.Who says you need a holiday to put up a religious display?
However, in an interview with The Boston Globe, Concord Mayor Byron Champlin criticized the TST display.
"I opposed the permit on the basis that the request was not made in the interest of promoting religious equity, but to drive an anti-religious political agenda leveraging the attention one can receive during this time of year," he said.
"TST told Fox News Digital that the statue was shoved onto the pavement two-and-a-half days after its unveiling.'
