HALF THE PATS TAKE A LAP
Thirty-four Patriots players, plus several staff members and coach Bill Belichick, attended the ceremony on the White House lawn as Trump praised what he called “the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time.” The team’s
full roster includes 68 players, which means half of the squad skipped the celebration.
Patriots Celebrate Super Bowl At Trump's White House -- Some Of Them, Anyway
So, HALF the squad skipped the celebration. Hilarious!!!!!
68 players? Hmmm. Game day roster is 53 players...then 10 players on the practice squad. Game day "active" roster is only 46 players. So, best case scenario for you is your source can't manage 53+10. Pretty sure the patriots had more than 3 people on IR, and i know they cycled many players through the roster throughout the year. Does Floydd count? He was on the team for a few weeks. Vollmer? Whoops, he retired. Maybe Long? Nope, he's chasing play time and $. Where did this mythical 68 come from? IIRC, preseason rosters start at 90...then a cut to 75 or something before the 53.
Brady didn't go, and he may as well be cheeto colored as well (brand impact?).
Next, how many players from last season are under contract? How many with restricted offers? How many unrestricted free agents? How many have already signed elsewhere (Bennet to GB, Ryan to idgaf, sheard gone, long gone)? Are any pissed off with the team re contracts? How many have been to 1 already?
Injuries? Well, did anyone have offseason surgery?
