The technology already exists to get to at least 50-60% renewable and do it more cheaply.
For the last 6 of 7 years we have been spending 70-90% of out generating dollar to do so.

Iowa is now 63% renewable, mostly wind. And they're not 'broke,' but enriched, as they are paid to dot their fields with turbines that pay them 2k-12k each)

I agree ... not me, but other communities in Oregon are 100% renewable electricity ... hydro and wind ... though all of us here have to pay for the diesel to haul food up from California ... currently I get 20% of my electricity from fossil fuels sources ...

It rains every day all day long ...
