I don’t think that officer had merely legal grounds to shoot the armed rioter today (who was there to **** with valid, lawful law enforcement activity), I also think he had a legal and moral duty to do it in order to subdue him as he fought with police. If you are going to direct violence at law enforcement, then you are an enhanced danger to the civilian public.

Think about it. Who was the dead jerk going to protect himself from with his gun? He was there to **** with law enforcement. That was his purpose for being there. Thus, if he was going to use his gun to defend himself against someone, it was going to be used against law enforcement.

I have a conceal carry permit and I carry daily. But I sure as hell would not carry to something like an anti-ICE riot, especially if I planned to **** with armed law enforcement personnel. In my mind, there is little doubt what this ****** was there to do.
