We are told the Ferguson riots, black lives matter protests and such are about racism, police brutality, and injustice for black people, see Trayvonn and Mike Brown. These mens actions were suspect to say the least yet they get riots in their honor but when the truly innocent are killed, not a peep, which leads most people to conclude its not about justice at all. Case in point....... Case Dismissed Against Officer Who Shot Killed 7-Year-Old As She Slept During Botched Raid The Free Thought Project Case Dismissed Against Officer Who Shot & Killed 7-Year-Old As She Slept, During Botched Raid

This incident is not at all unusual. Not so long ago, on a no-knock raid intending to effect an arrest for minor marijuana sales, police tossed a flash/bang grenade into the crib of a sleeping infant causing severe injuries to the baby. No evidence of marijuana sale was found. No charges were made against the police who did this.

The very nature of these 3AM no-knock break-in raids, and the fact they are rapidly increasing in number, is evidence of an emerging police state and should not be tolerated.

Go here for more info on wrongful police raids -- which are increasing in number and often are injurious or lethal to wholly innocent persons.

No, not ANOTHER race baiting thread by a racist on USMB.

A group of more than a hundred gathered in front of Ann Arbor's Justice Center and City Hall Saturday at 4:30 p.m. to protest Washtenaw County Prosecutor Brian Mackie's decision to not charge police officer David Ried in the fatal shooting of 40-year-old Aura Rosser.
"After the officers yelled at Ms. Rosser to drop the knife, she came at the officers with the knife still raised in an attack position," Mackie said in a release. "Ms. Rosser ignored repeated commands to drop the knife. As she continued to advance on the officers, Officer Ried fired one shot from his department issued handgun, killing Rosser." If a taser wasnt available I dont see the problem.
And you can bet everyone of those protesting would have done the same thing if their life was on the line.
Dont try and stab cops...go home unperforated. Simple.

It all boils down to the attitude of the media. If the media is outraged the public will be outraged. If the media justifies atrocities the public will remain calm. Take Waco for example. The media justified the atrocity committed by rogue federal law enforcement so the horrible deaths of 80 men women and children by poison gas and incineration was justified in the minds of the public. A FBI sniper was indicted for manslaughter by a local Grand Jury for shooting Randy Weaver's wife in the face while she was holding an 18 month infant in her arms but the indictment was quietly dismissed and the media ignored it.

Another example is Bill Ayers. He led a vicious band of anarchists that terrorized America for almost a decade with bombs and arson. According to testimony Ayers' last bomb was intended to maim and injure Soldiers at a Ft. Dix dance but it went off prematurely and killed his girlfriend. A friendly federal judge dismissed every single charge against Ayers past, present and future because of the FBI's alleged "illegal surveillance". Nobody was outraged because the media treated Ayers like a folk hero (and still does).

Every police department that kills any innocent person for any reason is evil. Every city with such a department has no legitimate government, until the guilty parties are not part of that government anymore.

Might get more so support if they actually used innocent examples.....

Pompous statements aside, who gets to judge whether a Police Dept. is evil? Of course it's the justice system but all too often the low information public relies on emotion rather than reason and the media rather than the law.

In a republic, all power is derived from the people. If their servants turn against them, there can't be surprise if the people turn to "second amendment solutions" or something similar.

Not a republic?

these riots and protests arent about their servants turning against them.......its about excusing lawlessness.

Obviously the protests are about what the protestors say they are about. Looters and other ne'er-do-wells are just opportunists.

The first Amendment gives the people the right to peacefully protest. It also gives people the right to ridicule the a-holes who refuse to accept the decision of the Grand Jury when they don't agree with it. You almost gotta laugh that the (mostly) low information left is still riled up over the death of an alleged felon at the hands of a Police Officer even when the Grand Jury refused to indict the Officer. The liberal media seemed to accept the fact that about fifty people were murdered during the Rodney King riots as payback for 200 years of slavery even though they must have known that there was no chance that the Officers accused in the Rodney King riots could have been convicted for attempted murder or anything more serious than assault based alone on the dramatic images of a video that the media showed over and over ....and over for weeks during prime time.
