I agree. The killing of Ashli Babbitt was disgraceful and inexcusable. You don't shoot an unarmed woman who is merely trying to climb through a broken window. The same folks who wanted to crucify the police officer who accidentally shot the violent thug Dante Wright after he resisted arrest and tried to speed off in his car wanted nothing done to the officer who shot Ashli Babbitt.

Babbitt was a military veteran with no criminal record. Wright was facing a 2021 arrest warrant for resisting arrest and carrying a pistol without a permit, and was facing a 2019 case for choking a woman and trying to rob her at gunpoint.

The 2021 arrest warrant was from a June 2020 encounter where Wright was accused of resisting arrest and carrying a pistol without a permit. He had been scheduled to appear in court for these charges via Zoom on April 2, 2021, but failed to attend. A warrant was then issued for his arrest, which was the active warrant police discovered during the April 11, 2021, traffic stop that led to his death.

The pending case from 2019 was a first-degree aggravated robbery charge. He and another man were were accused of forcing their way into a woman's home, choking her, and attempting to rob her at gunpoint. Wright was out on bail for this felony charge when he was arrested on the 2020 weapons charge, which was a violation of his bail conditions.

It fits, though it failed, after a period of hours, only stopping the constitutional joint session for a short time, protecting our Senators and Representative, then they went right back to their Constitutionally mandate duties, rejected the partisan lies of stolen election, by recording the election, decided in the vote of the people and the Electoral Collage. It was a lawless, pointless attempt to change the result of the election, but failed, the losers leaving the Capital, many arrested, tried and convicted of their crimes.
