Had high hopes, Anthony Hopkins is such a fine actor, and Jonathan Price is also very good.
And in that respect, you will not be disappointed. That is if you can watch a movie with heavy dialogue without falling asleep. This film is cerebral, and does not rely on theatrics/sex/violence to entertain.
It is not a deep film, it doesn't really get in deeply into the reasons why Pope Benedict resigned, but it is the story of how these two very different men developed their relationship, and why the stark traditionalist pope chose someone clearly the complete opposite.
Worth watching. An excellent story, well told.

It doesn't. In fact, the entire scene he is supposed to be telling the reasons is muffled.

Two great Welsh actors in action. Has any small nation contributed more to the well being of the planet ?

Two great actors in a movie nobody would ever watch. What was the point in producing this quasi-doc movie?
