jeez its because of obama jeez. honestly this is stupid but then again they are adding Netflix gaming so thats probably which is fine but like maybe not ads

It is a good decision.
Keep in mind - you are not effected if you keep your subscription as is.
They are giving you an option to pay less, but your reduced price is subsidized by watching ads.
Don't want ads? Fine. Do nothing and you won't see them.
