who will win the NBA Finals

If the Spurs had a more experienced coach they would have not lost that huge lead last night. They should have played inside in the 2nd half, they should have worked the clock and they kept jacking up three's in the 2nd half. A more experienced coach would have rested Wemby with the big lead in the 2nd, and called timeouts when the Knicks started closing in on the lead. I think Wemby played the entire 2nd half.

They also needed one veteran in that lineup, Fox is the veteran and he threw the ball to Hart late (he missed the layup) and then did not run out the clock with the lead and got his shot blocked. No one was sure who should take those late shots, no question on NY who that would be.

One last thing to get off my chest:

The announcers all around the media, who cover the NBA Finals: Wemby is 7'4" tall, he is not 7'5", 7'6", and to the one announcer, who I heard early in the playoffs say it TWICE, he is not 7'7" tall.

Even last night Legler got it wrong, saying he is 7'6".

The way he blocks shots and does alley-oops he looks like he's 8 feet tall.

OG has solidified himself in Knick lore after that tip.
Well, they have to win it all before that happens. Otherwise, it'll just go down as part of the heart break. 49% of me wants to see the Spurs figure this out this year and win the next 3 games. 2 of them are in San Antonio. And the Knicks could easily be down 3 to 1 right now. They've been sooo lucky.

Or did that last loss just break their spirit? Probably. I suspect the Knicks will win it at home game 6.

51% of me wants NY to win it all. Not for the fans. They are horrible. But I like OG, KAT, Brunson, Hart and Bridges. That's a good looking starting 5 championship team.

Next year Wemby, Vassell, Fox, Castle and Champaignie can be Champions.

He doesn't look so tall in this picture

I said I went for the Nuggets. Because I just saw them yesterday.

I saw them last year take OKC to G7. I thought they were just as good as OKC. Jockic is the best player in the world arguably with the new guy Wemby. I have never seen Wemby play. Last years playoffs was the first look I ever had at Jockic. Yesterday he was bombing in 3s' if MN did not come out on him. He moves with the grace of a 400lb ballerina. Kind of a well-rounded SHAQ.
Jockitch will never be in another NBA finals the rest of his career. Like Gianni. Unless they go somewhere else.

Jason Tatum came back and played 16 games this year. His full return puts Boston back to where they were before he was injured, the best in the East
What a great playoffs we've had. I forgot what happened to Boson

The Boston Celtics were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers. Philadelphia completed a historic comeback from a 3-1 series deficit, securing the series victory by winning Game 7 in Boston.

I think we sweep Cleveland, and beat the spurs in 6. I refuse to believe the Knicks will lose.

Usually, this year included, people think the west is going to win.

The Public Debate: While some analysts agreed New York was playing unstoppable basketball, many sportsbooks and bettors continued to point to Western Conference powerhouses like Oklahoma City having the statistical edge to open the series as betting favorites.

Look at how people reacted when Reggie Miller said the Knicks would be favorites in the finals. People though he was nuts.

Fans and analysts were stunned when Reggie Miller—the legendary New York Knicks arch-nemesis—declared that the Knicks "are gonna be favored in the Finals" against either the Thunder or the Spurs. The reaction was a mix of shock, skepticism, and fan suspicion

Some fans joked that his hot take was an intentional attempt to "jinx" the team, while others questioned if it was genuine

Fox took 8 shots in the 2nd half, and had only 5 points, more importantly, he had 4 turnovers and had his layup blocked with a 1 point lead and 10 seconds left. As the veteran on that team, that's unacceptable.

Gun to my head it’s Knicks in 6, but I want game five. No playing around with San Antonio. They’re a very good team.

I seldom watch more than a few minutes of the games, but I'm a big believer in getting a pretty accurate picture from the Box Score.

Wemby was 9-25 overall, 2-8 from beyond the arc, and 4-7 from the free throw line.

Given that they lost by a single point, he lost the game for them. He should NEVER be making fewer than half his shots. If he doesn't have a good look, he should pass it off, especially from 3-point range.

Wemby bricked two late in the game free throws, that was also big.

The Puerto Rican (I think?) kid off the bench for NY had two huge shots, one a 3 ptr., and really helped spark a turn around. Very cool he grew up in the Bronx or Brooklyn, one of the boroughs.

He’s half Puerto Rican and half Mexican. Leon got him at the trade deadline for 2 second round picks. Great pickup.

The only way OG can win it is if he takes over one of the remaining games and hits another game winner. Otherwise, yes, it is Brunson's to lose.

Brunson -120
Anunoby +240
Wemby +390
I just dont see how you can give the MVP to a role player. The reason OG was able to get that tip in was because the Spurs were doubling Brunson. His (Brunson) gravity that makes everyone on the floor for the Knicks better. Brunson is averaging more points, assists, rebounds, steals, basically better statistically in every category.

Alvarado? Yeah that was a great pick up and a great move by Coach Brown to put him out there instead of McBride. Helped mitigate the Spurs double team on Brunson.

Have you watched the series? OG is possibly the Knicks best defender AND he is scoring near what Brunson is and he doesn't take 30 shots a game. It's WAY MORE than the series saving tip he made.

He’s averaging 6 less points a game. Or 25% of his total. OG doesn’t score half those points without Brunson. The Spurs aren’t doubling him are they? Do you think the Spurs are game planning around OG? Of course not. Brunson will be the MVP by a wide margin.

Brunson has been the man for the Knicks and as I have said he amazes me offensively. My point is Anunoby in the Spurs final is a force both offensively and defensively while Brunson is a big liability on defense.
