Man should have taken more lessons from nature when designing airplanes. Have you ever seen a bird with its wings on the bottom?

Have you ever seen a more beautiful gliding owl?

Birds have wings mounted like they do because they flap to fly.

If you design a plane to flap its wings, they should be mounted on top. Otherwise, leave the design to the engineers.

Most of the more successful heavy-lift cargo planes have wings on top. Simple understanding of CG tells one that the CG should be beneath the wings for increased stability. That is what makes hang-gliders safe for the average dunce.
