just don't start thinking that the EU or European NATO countries will blindly follow the leadership of the US when it comes to deciding which future battlefields to engage the enemy on.
either we work together, or the alliances our ancestors made will fall apart.

I'm all for working together unless it is the left demands their way and what we want is immaterial. The USA has every right to insist that we not be dragged into yet another endless war with no exit strategy and no definition for what victory will look like. Most especially when we are required to provide the lion's share of resources to fight that war.
