Everybody remembers Napoleon and Wellington and Waterloo.
But who remembers Blücher, the Prussian?
He also fought and won!

One could argue Blucher was legitimately insane by the time of Waterloo.Blücher came to the rescue at the decisive moment!
He thought he was pregnant with a baby elephant, for one...why that?
It's been a matter of speculation for years whether Wellington would have prevailed at Waterloo without the intervention of Blucher, at the time the British under Wellington were under repeated and relentless French attacks.a strange anecdote
But it did not hinder him in his success at waterloo
didnt Wellington say .... I wish it were night .. or the Prussians came ..It's been a matter of speculation for years whether Wellington would have prevailed at Waterloo without the intervention of Blucher, at the time the British under Wellington were under repeated and relentless French attacks.
Night or the Prussians I believe.didnt Wellington say .... I wish it were night .. or the Russians came ..
Or the Prussians would come, then Napoleon launched his Imperial Guard at 7pm.didnt Wellington say .... I wish it were night .. or the Russians came ..

Don't know if you have seen it even though it was Hollywood there was a film staring Rod Steiger, Waterloo it was very good, they used 15000 extras for the movie.
Yes indeed. I thought Ney got the shaft a little in the portrayal, but Steiger was great, and Plummer played Wellington like the arrogant aristocrat he really was.yes, a great film!![]()
