Paris launches huge manhunt after priceless Napoleonic jewels stolen from the Louvre

Its like a movie. So neat it could actually be pulled off. Meaningless jewels. But expensive i guess.

He stole those from King Louise.

How could they possibly pull this off with all the security?

What good is stealing that gunk? Its stolen property and illegal to possess.

IMHO- they will go into a private collection.
That's my thinking. After all, The Scream and the Mona Lisa were stolen from the Louvre. It's not like you can list these things on eBay.

That's why I said earlier this robbery may have been done on spec.

Everyone in my circle of friends and family know that I would not hesitate to steal Claude Monet's Woman with a Parasol if I could get away with it. I am obsessed with that painting for some reason.

I have actually gone out of my way to visit Washington, DC just to see that painting in the National Gallery and stare at it for hours.

I'm not even an art guy. I can list on one hand the paintings which have captured my attention. I don't even understand the fascination with the Mona Lisa.

One of the pieces of art which grabbed me was when I was helping a female friend move. I was holding a pile of blankets and other linens in my hand when she dropped a small painting on the pile just inches from my face.

I almost dropped everything. I was stunned by that painting.

I'm married to the artist now. :woohoo:
