Participation in the Politics Forum outnumbers this one about 90-1. (So much for your business model argument.) The CDZ was created as a refuge from idiocy on that forum, where topics could be discussed without flaming and name calling. If you object to the CDZ Rules, go back to the Politics Forum and stay there.

Yes, is that enforced in here? I mean last night in a thread, I without a doubt proved that a few people were wrong about a specific thread and they just went on and on and on and just destroyed the conversation because they couldn't just say "oh I see you presented a fact right in from on my face that I was wrong about"

Grrr this was that thread by LGS about the mean old lunch lady lol I mean she was wrong about so much stuff and when pointed right out to her, she just kept yammering.

I'd like to see threads where if someone is wrong, and they are shown they are wrong, they say so.

CDZ has good rules, and the Flame and Bad Lands has plenty of room for crudity etc.

The issue? Some folks want to keep score because they have no other way to compete.

ALL personal attacks in the CDZone are illegal.. Don't care what words are used. "Stupid head" would be sufficient..

Of course referring to a POSTER as a racist or bigot is illegal, but the general use of those words would fall under Moderation Discretion.

While we're at it. Reminder that this zone has a 3 strikes rule. You will be infracted for any violation, but at the 3rd occurrence, access to the CDZone will be locked.

You don't get to determine what others can and cannot say. The rules are clear - no name calling. If you are a bigot or racist then calling you out is not name calling. It is identifying reality.

I can call you whatever I want as long as it is followed by a logical and thought out argument. don't like it - don't act like a bigot.

Now about ****** - can we please get this asinine filter off particular words - we are trying to have an adult conversation on many places and a filter is the antithesis of a political debate forum....

Actually, you can't call someone a racist or a bigot in the CDZone. Our standards here are higher than your average cable news show..
The concept is to make debate and discussion points WITHOUT making the dialogue the least bit personal..

But I'm interested in this rumor about a "nanny filter".. We have no such tool enabled. If you are seeing XXXXXXXX in your posts --- that is a moderator reminding you of the zone rules. Probably was a minor infraction that you just danced away without getting. Or maybe it came with an official warning. I know of no other X'ing that should appear.
