Capitalism Consciousness

In the apocalypto novel "The Stand" (Stephen King), two groups of human beings vie for dominion in a ravaged Earth and discover some insights into the nature of imagination and wrath.

America is the land of confluence (i.e., multi-culturalism) and its capitalism system makes for mercantilism-based networking (i.e., eBay). Perhaps Mystery Babylon is a great stand between the forces of temperance/art and the forces of profiteerism/wealth.

When I think of capitalism, two consumerism-symbolic products stand out as symbolic of modern pedestrianism meditation: the Polaroid instant camera and the compact audio cassette.

Both of these items look like toys, ironically enough, and they both represent American investments in 'convenience technologies' and therefore provide a kind of 'moral compass' for understanding a hypothetical 'Bazaar Babylon.'

HaShev, I wanted to point out to you that this latter part here that you quote is actually the vow the Jesuits make to become a Jesuit - according to Dr. Alberto Rivera who was a very high level Jesuit and said he took this oath to secretly and openly wage relentless war against all Protestant Christians, etc. including murdering them - this is an oath high level Jesuits take - and the Jesuit Pope Francis you witness here in USA at moment - he took this oath too - you can see the darkness in his countenance. Utterly satanic - another thing you may be interested in learning - the high level Jesuits were worshiping Lucifer with the Free masons who were higher up degree - Rivera was eye witness to the masonic ring worn on one them when he was called to attend a meeting with them. The Freemasons aren't luciferians, but they do have a tri devotion or recognition that is just an admission to the faith they are outting the secret to.

The one they claim is Jesus is Tammuz the son and husband (how sick is that?) of Semiramis who was also called the Queen of heaven. They also call her Mary. Have you ever read Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop? A lot of info in that book - I have it but have not read the entire book - I read your comment on the fish hat - you are 100% on the mark, HaShev. I had not heard the one Yah before and as they say the sign of the cross while touching their forehead then the center of their chest than either shoulder they do not call the Holy Spirit - Holy Spirit but rather spirit - did you ever notice that? They touch one shoulder and say Holy and the other and say spirit! What spirit I wonder. It could be any spirit - who knows what that is all about!

The popular vigilantism-themed comic book franchise Batman (DC Comics) has been adapted into big-budget and high-profile Hollywood (USA) blockbuster films such as "The Dark Knight" (2008) and praised television programs such as "Gotham" (Fox TV).

Batman is a wealthy socialite and businessman named Bruce Wayne by day and a masked caped crusader by night. Batman tackles a number of criminal maniacs such as Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Two-Face. Two super-villain nemeses of Batman stand out: Scarecrow and Mad Hatter.

Scarecrow (an allusion to the harvest demon totem meant to ward off crows to protect crop-fields) is a masked maniac who spreads terror with a deadly fear toxin and destabilizes civility and sanity in Batman's Gotham City.

Mad Hatter (an allusion to an iconic Lewis Carroll fiction character representing logic disarray) is a bizarre death-trap setting super-criminal who wears a giant hat and believes Batman should be placed in situations where quick decision-making is nearly impossible.

Scarecrow and Mad Hatter are great symbols of modern era crime anxieties. Many feel that Batman (DC Comics) is America's version of Sherlock Holmes (the iconic fictional super-detective created by legendary writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle). As Sherlock Holmes dealt with fictional diabolical super-criminals who represented real life London maniacs such as Jack the Ripper (the elusive serial killer who stalked and killed prostitutes), perhaps Scarecrow represents real life American maniacs such as Charles Manson (the infamous counter-culture psychopath), and perhaps Mad Hatter represents real life American terrors such as Joseph McCarthy (the infamous unethical persecutor of Communists).

When we talk about the corruption associated with Mystery Babylon and how it can represent real diagrams of modern civilization, we might consider how fictional populism-symbolic American comic book super-villains such as Scarecrow and Mad Hatter compel us to evaluate mob vigilance.
