My Dad Gave Me A Small Loan of A Million Dollars....It Has Not Been Easy

Covetness and greed are in the eyes of the left today.

He grew up with money. Boo boo. He is unqualified for other reasons. This is irrelevant.

Covetness and greed? I don't know a single lefty who utilized bankruptcy law to grow their fortune.

One used smuggling hooch to acquire his fortune. In other words, he acquired it though criminal means.

He never declared bankruptcy, or do you have a reading comprehension difficulty?

Oh, right, because we all know the declaring bankruptcy is far worse than profiting from a criminal enterprise!

Not merely declaring bankruptcy, but declaring bankruptcy four times. It goes to character, but you guys only care about that when its the other guy.

Over 4 bankruptcies the sum becomes huge. 1991 was $675 million, 1992 was $550 million, I'm not sure of the date of Trump entertainment, but the restructuring was $1.9 Billion. Also no other major business in the United States has bankrupted that many times, so it either lays at the feet of his incompetence or rests upon his shoulders as accomplishment. Myself, I wouldn't invest in him.

Those amounts are meaningless because you haven't labeled them. What was $675 million, $550 million, and $1.9 billion?

Those are the amounts he took into bankruptcy. That was the subject.

What is "took into bankruptcy" supposed to mean? The truth is, you have no idea what the actual amounts involved were.

I imagine some day you'll figure it out.

Face it: you're an ignoramus who doesn't know jack shit bankruptcy or corporate finance.

Well I think you're an Ignoranus.....both ignorant and an asshole.

A loan of a million dollars.Paid back with interest.Went off and became a huge success....

Nice....

What's the problem?

No, it simply goes to the fact that there was a downturn in the Casino business and Trump owned a share of a number of casino businesses. Companies declare bankruptcy all the time.

It's hilarious watching leftwing turds who support Hillary, the most corrupt Democrat to run for the Presidency in this century, attack Trump as somehow morally unfit for the office. Did Trump sell his office to foreign governments? Did Trump lie about the murder of four of his employees so he could win an election? Did Trump break federal law by keeping classified information on a private server?

You guys really take the cake. You want to go down this route? Trump will be more than happy to take Hillary on.

Huh? No, that's not how it works. Wait, bankruptcy might be different. And in any event it makes absolutely no difference in my life
Except for the part where your taxes pay for bankruptcy courts. Unless you're saying you don't pay taxes.

But I do like the "No, that's not how it works. Wait, bankruptcy might be different" part. Might be a good idea to know what you're talking about before you post.

Pay taxes for bankruptcy court? What!?

“It has not been easy for me. It has not been easy for me. I started off in Brooklyn. My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars," Trump remarked. "I came into Manhattan, and I had to pay him back, and I had to pay him back with interest. But I came into Manhattan and I started buying properties, and I did great."
Well you know a million bucks just ain't what it used to be, heck you can't even buy a half way decent 30 bedroom mansion for a million bucks anymore. Just imagine where Super Don would be today if his old man wasn't such a cheapskate and had given him some REAL money to go off an play at being Gordon Gecko with.... :)

Trump's "daddy's money" issue is shady enough, and I can understand bringing it up, but the real story to me is the way so many in the party have completely sold out their "conservative values" to fall in line for the guy.

I'd always thought those values were pretty much locked in with them. Looks like they were not.

Oh well Mac, if the country is going to hell in a hand basket anyways we might as well put the biggest clown we can find in charge, the half-assed clowns in the oval office lately have been no fun at all, with President Fluffy Noggin in charge at least we'll go out laughing.:D
