My brother is sitting in an emergency room in Edmonton with a twelve hour wait they just gave him after being rushed to the hospital by ambulance ...

Whilst Republicans don't propose healthcare reform. Your post is not the flex you think it is.
We don’t say whilst in this country. Keep your failed socialist policies over in whichever country you’re from, and stop trying to bring down America.

Where did you get the idea healthcare systems are socialist? Yes doctors might get paid less but that's because the politicians and shysters make it so. As for suing there is less of that in Canada for whatever reason.
The laws are the reasons. We need to also have laws to lessen the number of bogus lawsuits. Negligence has no meaning in the U.S. anymore. Not all healthcare systems are socialist. In the U.S. that is the direction we are going. Healthcare is becoming less and less capitalistic as government controls most of it with Obamacare. It is redistribution of wealth. Especially the way Democrats run it.

Yeah ... but Socialism is going to save the world -- well -- except for the people dying in a Socialist hospital.

What do you mean by some healthcare systems are socialist? Is China's socialist? Obamacare doesn't control anything. What it does is provide healthcare to those who can't afford it. Eliminate and now all these people will have to go through insurance companies we all know how honest they are.

As for redistributing wealth it's what American and Canada's income tax acts do. They provide massive amount of deductions to the rich. In your lifetime what changes have occurred to that helped you? There is no redistribution of wealth because the average person has been paying about the same in taxes all their life. The rich get richer.

The rich always get richer. Obummercare increased the rate at which that wealth transfer happened.

The middle class got screwed yet again.

Obamacare also made health care unaffordable to those who previously COULD afford it.

I had to pay $800 a month, was stuck with paying $6,000 of medical expenses before insurance kicked in, lost my doctor, and then, as a extra whammy, had to pay MORE for doctor’s visits than I would have if I had no insurance at all,

You ignorant liberals don’t understand how thecatastrophe worked. All you know is the very simplistic “it made health care affordable for those who couldn’t afford it” without realizing that the scheme escalated prices well above market on middle class people - making it a struggle, and in some cases impossible, for THEM to afford it.

Now we are stuck with such a disaster that even people earning $100,000 can’t afford insurance without other people paying for it,

If you’re over 30, you need to grow up reality: socialism fails.

You think Obamacare isn’t supported by government subsidies gathered in by mostly the top 10% of taxpayers in the U.S.? Redistribution. The evidence is the cost of insurance and healthcare didn’t go down. It went up!

Julian Epstein, a well-known Democrat strategist, was just on the news 5 minutes ago calling Obamacare a failure that drove up costs.

The problem with emergency rooms and even the "doc-in-a-box" places, is that too many people go in with colds, mild cases of the flu, headaches, twisted ankles and bruises.
Think its bad now, just wait until we get "free" healthcare.

Anytime the government subsidizes anything the costs go up. College costs are the same way. Also, heavy regulations do the same. California is a prime example of Democrats driving up gasoline prices. Little known fact that Newsom’s Democrats have a new regulation for gas stations. They have to put an extra layer of cement protection around their gas compartments that will cause many stations to close. Costs are expected to go up to $10/gal. And people will still vote for democrats.

Anyone who is still voting for Democrats is either ignorant, brainwashed, or just stupid.

Shoot, it takes 30 weeks just to see a doctor for a non emergency in canada

You never tire of putting your ignorance and stupidity on display. The Fraser Institute is the Canadian equivalent of the Heritage Foundation. Their goal is to dismantle the Canada Health Act and force Canadians into the same shitty system you're using. For a non emergency, the wait time to see your PCP is 2 weeks. Keep demonstrating what a stupid gullible tool you truly are.

We neither want nor need your shitty system, in which your life expectancy is declining, and your people can't afford coverage.

The OP is bullshit. The poster's brother may have called an ambulance to take him to hospital but if they then sent him to the waiting room for 12 hours, it couldn't have been much of an emergency.

I went to the ER on Sunday after a bad fall in the yard, during a windstorm. We arrived just before noon. The waiting room was packed. The triage nurse told me that I might have to come back on Monday. They might not be able to see me that day. But after she took my information, and assessed my situation, she hand me a sample bottle and asked me to provide a urine sample.

The doctor saw me in under an hour, and by 3:30 I had been tested, X-rayed, and told I had 2 cracked ribs, but no kidney damage. I received full instructions for the next couple of weeks, a prescription for pain meds, along with warning signs that I should come back if they happen.

My bill for all of this was $0. My bill for my knee replacement, and two weeks in a rehab hospital was also $0. Ditto the births of my 3 children.

The ER? Haha. Really trying to move the goal post here aren’t you? We weren’t talking abbot EE visits

You dishonest dembot

That's what trump tells you. Do you have any facts and figures to go with your post? Of course not!!! If trump says it's bad and Democrats created it you "maga Sheep" all jump on the bandwagon. When a country runs a deficits it isn't redistributing the wealth, it's spending money it doesn't have. I can't imagine your taxes have gone up that drastically in the past 20 years.

You lost me at $800 a month. Is that insurance payments?

Your country runs a wicked deficit, taxpayer dollars don't even make a dent in it. Do you honestly think the top 10% of the people pay their fare share in taxes. Your income tax act is mainly deductions for the rich to avoid paying taxes.

Yes, that was the cost of the bronze plan for a woman in her early 60s. It had a horrible deductible - $6,000 - and I basically had to pay all my medical expenses anyway - but the silver plan was close to $1000.

That is what Obamacare did to insurance. Made it so expensive that people who previously afforded it without a problem were stuck with “insurance cards” that didn’t cover anything, and cost a fortune.

Is it private insurance through Obamacare? I don't know much about how it works. If they eliminate Obamacare do you think insurance companies will treat you more fairly?
