Murderbot Series upcoming Apple TV

So much so, that the last episode is making me reconsider watching the series.
If the next episode is this woke - I won't continue the show.

The wokeness is ...there with the very heavy handed diversity,

but it seems to stop there.

I note that hte bad buys of the evil corporation, are not white.

And even teh space hippies, while not assholes are not mary sues, but instead more naive fools.

Some of the best modern series are on Apple:
Get serious. Is that why TV programming sucks now? Because they are moving everything onto pay streaming TV where I instead of the advertiser has to pay for everything?

Severance
Servant
The Last of Us
Ted Lasso
For All Mankind
Never even heard of any of those. I think I can live without them.

Severance, Servant and The Last of Us is worth one months price alone... by a mile
**** that. I will not justify a bad business model by subscribing to it. Used to be you could see most anything on TV. Then they stigmatized programming by grading it as premium, etc., worthy of additional fees.

Now these bums are buying everything up to where now, to watch TV, you no longer need a subscription just to Verizon, Dish or HBO for $100 - $200, but to:
  1. Hulu
  2. Sling
  3. Amazon
  4. Apple
  5. Paramount
  6. Disney
  7. Peacock
It's to the point that folks now buy a programming package just because it carries one TV show they want to see. ITMT, your name, address, credit card number, etc., goes out to all these people, and now instead of spending $150 a month to one company, it is now costing you $150 a month to seven companies.

I’m GTG with it for another go round ( Season 2)
same here, it's going to use another book so likely he might be in a different situation/planet
it's a short show, now sure how much time and $$ they spent or when it will be back.
could be this fall but likely next year same time

It's the way it's going......but they inject big $$ into these shows, it's not free like CSB per say so they need to make money to continue.
There are ways [I use with VPN] to "get" these shows and not pay a damn thing ;)

I get All of those & more ( including all NFL games ) with ( IPTV Smarters ) for 90.00 $ per year

It's the way it's going......

It is only going that way because of all the tampons who subscribe to the crap. I've had a 4K TV for a few years now and just recently started seriously checking out a few of the free streaming services like Tubi and Pluto.

These are FREE services, and have all the advantages of streaming (picture quality, low ad count), and are filled with lots of great stuff to watch. That is where I draw the line.

I get enough to watch for free every day to take up several hours, I cannot imagine paying for even more.

not too shabby, I get them all for 15 bucks with hulu and the rest for free ;)

You are correct that the TV streaming service model is breaking down.

When it was a choice between Cable or Prime and Netflix, it saved big money to cut cable and just do Prime and Netflix.

Now, with the explosion of competition and limited availability, it is much worse.

I have started CHURNING, ie I move from service to service, following the shows I want to want.

Hulu when Only Murders in the building has a new season. Then once done with that something else.

Murderbot attracted me to Apple. We also are watching foundation.

Once we finish that, we will probably cut that and move on to something else.

If you are stupid yes. But thankfully, I am not stupid.
Obviously you are not familiar with how streamers watch TV.
Virtually no one pays for even close to that many channels at the same time.
People subscribe to different channels, drop them after they have wrung out what they want - and subscribe to different ones.
Right now we subscribe to:
Netflix
HBO Max
AppleTV
Discovery
That is it. The only year round channel we keep is Netflix. All the rest we interchange.
So right now we pay about $50+ a month - not $150 the suckers and morons pay

You can watch every NFL game of your favorite teams at home & away ? And past streamers like CBS Extra and get Netflix without paying Netflix ?

15th post
Commercials ?

yes , it has every Service mentioned so far , it’s where I found Murderbot
It’s also where I found ā€œ Strange Angel ā€œ from CBS extra 2018-19 ( Pre war series about Jack Parsons and his Rise in Rocketry from Janitor at a Los Angeles area chemical factory in the depression to starting a Military Contract Factory and launching the JPL in upscale Pasadena & delving into Hedonistic Religion as war loomed )

Get the 30 or 40 % off Cupon code and it’s like 74.00$ per year
I’ve been using it for 3 years ( and I originally got it because Raiders games were no longer shown in Northern California )
