You mean after they forced women to be unwilling breeding machines in the Dobbs decision?
O.K. We'll break down this lie.
And we'll point out that your M.O. is to post this kind of tripe knowing full good and well, it is garbage.
The GOP didn't adjudicate Dobbs, the SCOTUS did.
These were justices who went through the ridiculous process of senate s**tshows and were confirmed. They have a specific function. To ensure federal laws comply with the Constitution of the United States.
There was no federal law.
There was a stupid, foolish, ignorant decision in 1973 that was based on some "right" that William O. Douglas extracted from his ass that nobody had really heard of before. Hiding in the penumbras of his ill-tempered mind. And with that manufactured garbage, Douglas and Co. removed from the states one if the powers they had exercised for almost 200 years.
Now, given that the 10th Amendment gives to the states powers not stated in the constitution, this was truly a travesty and an act of social engineering.
The justices in Dobbs simply corrected the egregious error perpetrated by the Burger Court and returned that power to the states. Not the GOP. They simply confirmed the justices.
The justices returned the power to the states where it is being determined by the people of those states.
I know it kills you to think that people with opinions different than your high-and-mighty-and-arrogant-and-ignorant blathering actually have a right to exercise their POV through the political (and not the judicial) process.
Sucks to be you.
The 9th amendment speaks most closely to what Douglas might have said...but if he had been honest he would have said the only way you realize those rights is by codifying them. I don't see you or anyone else calling for an amendment that allows abortion. Better get to work.
And you can spare me the:
They lied at their hearings garbage. They answered stupid questions as best they could. The senate has no right (I recall Ted "I'm so glad he's dead" Chappaquiddick yelling at Alito about "protecting" the "gains" of the past 50 years. I hated Kennedy, the "liar of the senate" with a passion. And that helped me remember why. The senate has no business asking about settled law. NO LAW IS SETTLED. They court has reversed itself on hundreds of occasions.
It's a womans right. I don't get into that argument because it's really a matter of how you feel about the rights of the unborn. Roe was sickening in their analysis (and since when does SCOTUS use medical information to determine rights as defined by the Constitution ????). It isn't a right (Dobbs being that example) as granted by the Constitution. Want it to be a right.....get an amendment ratified.
So, your B.S. is just that....B.S.
Many in the GOP support abortion at some level. Many democrats don't.
Deal with it.
It is perhaps no surprise that adults in the United States who identify as Democrats are far more likely to favor the legalization of abortion, with 59 percent of Democrats surveyed in 2025 supporting the legalization of abortion under any circumstance.
