This is absolutely asinine. Where did those poor white people get the land that is supposedly being taken away? Well, their ancestors took it from the blacks. It began well before the 1913 Native Lands Act, which limited black ownership to seven percent of the land. Ironically, more than a hundred years later, and after the end of Apartheid, those numbers have barely budged.

Georgist believe that all wealth derives from land ownership and all taxes should be based on that land ownership. The law that has fueled all this fury, well first of all, any land subject to confiscation cannot be in commercial production. If you have hundreds of acres of land, none of it is in commercial production, well that land ownership is doing nothing for the owner's wealth, it is more about keeping those assets away from people that are actually willing to create wealth. Everyone loses, even the current landowners.
