Step one, in the One Party move.

Stay tuned. Unintended consequences over the next 8-10 years are going to be steep. President Xi will still be around then, leading a more powerful and dominant Communist Nation.

As Americans once again look to the Electoral College to resolve another close presidential contest, it’s worth remembering that a half-century ago, the nation nearly did away with the system entirely.

Over the course of the 1960s, a movement to reform and, ultimately, get rid of the Electoral College steadily gained momentum.

Don't get rid of it, reform it.

Have States do EV's via one per house district, and then 2 EV's for the overall winner of the State.

What kind of idiot would think that?

Right wingers would have never had their guy based on a popular vote.

No, Republicans will never agree to get rid of the EC. It's the only way for them to "win" short of making their policies less racist, less homophobic, less xenophobic. Which isn't likely to happen. We need to just neutralize it with laws that give all electors to the state's popular vote getter.

Oh dear another misleading dishonest crap from msnbc.

First of all the election is based on the popular vote, but is the STATES popular vote that determines who gets the EC votes.

Secondly the winner take all method was never mandated, thus can be modified to the popular vote of the states, by apportionment method.

Biden won 67% of the vote in California, he gets about 67% of the EC vote, which is a more Republican way of voting, that is what EC apportionment is about, yet leftists/liberals don't want this to happen.

The National vote is irrelevant since this is a Constitutional REPUBLIC, not a Democracy, which is WHY EC exist in the first place, it is a part of what a Republic is about.

Liable for massive gerrymandering... Sorry...

How about vote allocation as per percentage of your vote... (rounding up and down)

Oh dear your partisan attack is dead on arrival, why can't you make a reasoned reply instead, or was that beaten out of you?

Why the hell would states with lower populations ever agree to that?

States can do that now f they wish. No one wants to do that.

You use the existing Congressional districts. That is no more gerrymandered than it currently is!

It's not partisan, it's Republicans own words! Lindsey Graham said it last week.

Graham: If Trump concedes election, Republicans will 'never' elect another president

Trump went even farther:

Trump says Republicans would ‘never’ be elected again if it was easier to vote

That gets changed every 10 years with the census. Including this coming year.

Your deflection is pathetic, you still haven't made a partisan free reasoned reply, when are you going to start?

Meanwhile the EC vote ARE based in the state popular vote.

You haven't explained why quoting Republican words back to you is partisan on my part.

As far as I'm concerned you should only get to vote if you're a property owner and pay property taxes on a primary residence. Your voter registration should be linked to the single primary residence you reside at. You should not be allowed to own property if you're an illegal alien.

Voting should be done in one day. Everything that has been done as far as early voting, and mail in ballots has made us more and more like a banana republic.

Next we'll have Gorbachev over here like fuckin Jimmy Carter in Honduras to "over see the fairness" of our elections. It's pathetic and it is intentionally done by democrook traitors.

Attack republicans with smears.

Racism=== Check

Homophobic=== Check

Xenophobic=== Check

YOU are being a nasty partisan loudmouth.

48 states already have the "winner take all" method for the EC votes system in place, you that far behind?
