First point, I deplore the end of civility and decorum that used to guide the behavior of congressmen, and Presidents, during austere occasions like the prez addressing a joint session of Congress, and the American people. A metaphorical door that was kicked down when Rep. Joe Wilson accused President Obama of lying during a speech to a joint session in 2009.
That said, if ever there was a time to stand up and be heard while the current prez, a convicted felon and credibly accused rapist, methodically dismantles the bulwarks of democracy (and lies about it), it's now.
Outside the chamber, Green told NBC News that as "a person of conscience," he believes Trump "has done things that I think we cannot allow to continue." I agree.
