Movie "The Leisure Seekers" 2017

It's a relatively disturbing movie about an elderly couple (Donald Southerland) (Helen Mirren) who take a cross country trip in an equally old Winnebego. Southerland is apt to drift into an Alsheimer trance and Mirren is trying to cope. The problem I have is Brit. actress Helen Mirren with a cheesy Southern accent. Couldn't they find an American to play the part?
