Mosque On Ground Zero. An Act Of Aggression: Yea Or Nay?

That'll be another 3 pages of trying to get an answer from her, all the while she'll try to divert you, throw out hack bombs, twist and spin and and make all kinds of accusations against you so she doesn't have to admit she was wrong. Been here before, many times.

Might as well let her have the last word and save yourself the aggravation. Anybody who had Hooked on Phonics knows you said no such thing and it's just Willow getting carried away again. ;)

you asswipes said that if 80% of Americans objected it said a lot more about them than it did the people who are building the mosque.. I didn't dream it did I? no, I did not.

So where does that say that anybody has the right to tell anybody else what to think or feel?

that's exactly what it says, you need remidial help in comprehension or something?

here's the *data* you provided. is the 80% *disguised* as 54% or almost 70%?

fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

Don't you know Del? If you don't know how to think about the Mosque then you must automatically disapprove of it.

Is it possible to miscomprehend something you yourself said?

Lol This is typical of the little baby mod *****. He cries and cries and cries like a little ***** if anyone brings his age into a discussion then turns around and brings age into a discussion.

Thank you for once again proving what a hypocrite you are you little bastard.

What? I'm asking one of my elders about her experiences of back in the day. We can learn a lot from older people! :)

Not only are you a lying little douche bag, but sadly I believe you've reached your limits on learning.

Not lying at all, I was honestly interested in hearing Willow's answer.

You can oppose this Mosque being built in this location and not oppose their right to do so. I think that's where this whole discussion has been derailed. Obviously they have the legal right to build their Mosque because they own the property. So unless you support Eminent Domain being enacted in this case, there really isn't any reason to argue about their right to build their Mosque. They clearly have the right to build it. However, that doesn't mean you have to support them building it. Personally,i think it would be a wonderful act of kindness and understanding if they chose not to build their Mosque in this particular location. To push forward with this just seems incredibly insensitive and even somewhat hostile in my opinion. They have a real opportunity to do some good here and i hope they choose to do so.

How so del? I did not claim that 80% of the people wanted to force them not to build the mosque, in fact the opposite I said the 80% didn't want to force a change, they wanted to the muslims to choose not to build it. and the data backs that up

here's the *data* you provided. is the 80% *disguised* as 54% or almost 70%?

20% favor, math says 80% must not favor

20% Favor Mosque Near Ground Zero, 54% Oppose - Rasmussen Reports

There are other polls that explicit say 70% oppose so we can split teh difference and say 75% of you'd like

CNN Poll: Nearly 70% Of Americans Oppose NYC Mosque Plan

fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

Now del, be fair. There's no reason to believe he's drunk.

or fat, for that matter. i stand corrected. well, slouch, but it's the thought that counts.

I'm crushed you don't recall our previous conversations. Horrified, I tell ya! I know you post ten thousand times a day, but I thought I was a bit more memorable than that.:lol:

Least he's taken his complaining to his new thread.

Peaceful elements of Islam have co-existed in NYC for over a century.

BUT YES: Every religion has a violent fringe.

INDEED: A fringe element of Islam has/is/will continue to use terrorism in order to bankrupt America financially and morally.

With the help of George Bush, who was tricked into Iraqi quicksand, fringe Islam has succeeded financially.

BUT

Have they succeeded morally? Will America sacrifice the very thing that separates it from the barbarian hordes? That is...

Will America sacrifice her Freedom.

Freedom of speech, freedom of association, Freedom of information, freedom to protest government, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, etc.

Americans don't just practice Freedom when it's convenient.

Americans do not trade freedom for money or fear.

FREEDOM: Property owners have a right to build a mosque on their property. Even if you hate the group, you cannot let that hate (or fear) undermine the Essential Freedoms America provides. Protecting Freedom is the best tribute to those who died on her alter. (don't you people get it? Is talk radio this powerful?)

(Indeed, the thing that separates America from Saudi Arabia is precisely that freedom. It's called courage. The courage to protect freedom even when you deeply disagree with it)

Open societies by definition have higher levels of risk and danger. That is the price of freedom.

The Right Wing is always quickest to trade freedom because of fear.

Bin Laden wins if he can scare America into sacrificing one of its founding principals: freedom of religion.

TRAGEDY: A small group of under-educated Americans have been fooled by talk radio, which is trying to construct the ideological foundation for militarizing western asia (which militarization is arguably necessary, given the worsening supply/demand curve of petroleum).

Who would have thought that the people who scream freedom the loudest would be the first to trade it.

(wow, just wow)

(Does the talk radio right understand Reagan's relationship to Iran, Hussein, and the mujahideen? Does the talk radio right understand America's Cold War alliance with terrorists to fight the spread of communism? Do they understand America's long history with the violent Islamic fringe?)

(Why does talk radio seem to feed on people who don't know history or geopolitics? Why does the professional Right always get in bed with morons? I guess they take their cue from the Left, who is even dumber)

(wow, just wow)

The Constitution is only sacred if you defend the essential freedoms it protects when it's not convenient.

(wow, just wow)

America is following the trajectory of Weimar. Over liberalization followed by economic devastation followed by military aggression via the strategic over-hyping of internal and external demons followed by the sacrifice of essential freedoms.

Turn off talk radio. You are taking the bait. You are destroying your country.

The terrorists don't win if a bunch of idiots build a mosque in NYC; they win if you shut down freedom trying to prevent it.

And when is the 911 Memorial building going to be finished? Man,who could have imagined that after all this time we still haven't finished building a memorial for our fallen 911 victims? All the arguing and in-fighting. What a shame. We couldn't even come together as a nation to honor our fallen fellow Americans. What does that say about our nation? Makes you sad no?

Yeah, we sure are divided enough to not be able to come together enough to invade and bomb two countries into the ground.

Wait a tick...

Believe it or not, I'm more or less with you on this one.

It's been almost 9 years. How about instead of fighting among ourselves and looking for bogeymen we have a serious discussion about not only 9/11 and how it's changed us, but who we are, who we want to be and how to move ahead? All this paralysis and infighting isn't helping anyone.

But that would involve not using Muslims and Arabs in general as scapegoating, then how would they scare people like Chanel and Willow into believing bullshit?
