I can understand why so many Trump supporters are so dangerously loyal to him. He is like an abusive parent who they know will strike them if they step out of line. This must be especially frightening for those who are working closest to him, within his administration. I have seen him utilize intermittent reinforcement with people like Elon Musk and others. That's a way that narcissists maintain power and control. He will give a little, then take back. He forms a psychological dependence with family members too. I am sure that they are somewhat scared of him too.

I wish they weren't such cowards, but I'd imagine they would personally stand to lose a lot if they aren't compliant.
