.Whether you're fishing or running dope, being blown to smithereens can really mess up your day.
Maybe they didn't hear about the other 19. The problem with the annihilation attack is that it destroys all of the evidence, so we have to go on someone's word..
You'd think after 20 boats, they'd learn.
.
The runners are each offered 500 bucks for the run. More money than they would make in an entire year. They come from ultra poverty in the SA slums....favelas...they call them. Still though....knowing they could be torched en route has to make them think..

As soon as he gets on a drug boat, we'll take him out!We need to cut off the head of the snake, not just target practice on speed boats.
Bullshit! I ran counter-narcotic ops in 1990 in the Navy. Our radars covered most of the South American coastline and all the info was sent north. Planes flying out of Puerto Rico would intercept. Aerostat radar blimps covered the areas we couldn't. We seized boats full of drugs. Actually our Coast Guard detachment did with Navy assistance. When my brother was in the AF he was a radar operator and said they would track the drug planes coming north but were forbidden from telling the DEA or state cops where to intercept the drugs. That changed recently, so the air traffic is stopped, the sea routes are stopped, and the wall stopped the land mules. Getting drugs thru the ports of entry is the only game in town, and the CBP is intercepting tons of drugs there, but probably not all.

My maritime law knowledge extends to boats driving on the left. If I was a smart smuggler, I'd apply for a charter. I always speed to my next favorite fishing spot. Doesn't everyone?

Shhhhh! Don't tell White 6 that!Maybe they didn't hear about the other 19. The problem with the annihilation attack is that it destroys all of the evidence, so we have to go on someone's word.

Don't all fishing boats do 60 knots? To catch speedy fish. They were in boats used by drug runners, not fishing boats.
Some were in submarines.
Make it make sense that they aren't smugglers.
Probably sending the youngest/dumbest in the worst speedboats and spreading out the loads.I'm actually shocked that these guys keep trying even though they know there's a pretty good chance of getting offed.
No it isn't....a drop in the bucket. This is gonna put a real dent in the cartel money flow....
Could be that or getting whacked maybe. Here's what I don't get..... I am continuously being told that the sea route accounts for less than 1% of Total drug traffic. I have a hard time believing that. If it's so easy to do it by land and so difficult to do it by sea why are these guys continually risking getting killed doing it?
Gotta start somewhere. No it isn't....a drop in the bucket.
Simple fisherman, just trying to make a living have $100,000 worth of motors on their $40,000 boats, too...lolDon't all fishing boats do 60 knots? To catch speedy fish.
