Tulsa - Records continue to fall as a Summer heatwave maintains its grip on Oklahoma and Texas.
On Thursday parts of Northwestern Oklahoma climbed above 110 degrees with Buffalo, OK setting an all-time record of 115 degrees and it could get even hotter on Friday.

In Roswell, New Mexico, a record high was tied when the mercury shot up to 103 on Wednesday, the same as occurred in 1964. And in Grand Forks, North Dakota, a record low maximum was tied at 67, dating from 1962 as well.

The National Weather Service reports that the average temperature so far this month -- that's the 24-hour average, figuring in highs and lows -- was 97.8 degrees. That's the fifth-hottest first two weeks of July on record at Sky Harbor International Airport.
But here's what's cool ... or not to much: From July 8 to 14, the 24-hour average was 100.2 degrees. That makes it the hottest second week of July on record.
