More Pot Talk

I have known an AWFUL lot of potheads in my time. Not a one deserved to draw their next breath.

I've had decades to get to know potheads.

I am very proud to have ended their families and made sure they never saw their children without a monitor present. At their expense of course. You would be surprised at how many potheads would rather buy pot than pay the monitor.

oh christ.....sure you have.....question for you Katz....Rabbi avoids answering this....lets see if you will.....have you ever smoked pot?.....and if so have you spent any amount of time within that crowd?......

That's sick Katz.

Thank God you're no longer practicing. Are you aware of the concept of karma? You will have quite a debt to pay my dear.

.

she had DECADES to get to know potheads......i smoked from the 70's to early 90's and knew a lot of pot smokers and did not know ANY who could not handle life.....but the ones who also did a lot of drinking or OTHER harder drugs while doing Pot....many of them had problems....these are the kind she has met.....and of course....their problems are because of Pot....

They're old, who cares if they get a heart attack or a stroke.

When it comes to drug users, the best thing you can do for them is let them die. Young or old. They are useless anyway.

You want all alcohol users to die because they're useless?

Doesn't that cover a very large (and influential) range of people?

I believe most of our Presidents have been known to partake in cocktails, and many have been known to smoke pot as well.

.

Not everyone who has a drink is an alcoholic. Everyone who uses pot is a drug addict. This hurts your feelings because that includes you and you just don't think of yourself as a drug addict. But you are. You are no different than any Hollywood star whose body they find after the maid comes in to clean.

You absolutely must argue your point that pot is harmless to change a mind, convince someone. It has to be frightening for you to know the number of people who find the world a better place if you joined Cory Monteith, Heath Ledger, Whitney Houston or any other drug addict. It's not going to happen. What is going to happen is that more drug addicts will pass on to the big bong and more people will use your addiction against you.

Users are like the guy at the party, making a fool of himself and in his mind is just more funny and more popular. Addicts will defend their drug of choice to the death. You will defend your drug of choice to the death.

Drug addicts are no different that alcoholics yammering about the addiction potential of a snickers bar.

This hurts my stomach because it makes me laugh so hard.

Cannabis is neither a drug, nor is it addictive. Your ignorance is stupefying.

Marijuana is a schedule I drug.

Or did you miss all those arrests and sentences to diversion.

nice dishonest comparison.....has A drink.....compared with who uses.....

and you absolutely must argue your point that Pot is the most dangerous thing out there to change a mind....MOST people know that aint true.....

if you joined Cory Monteith, Heath Ledger, Whitney Houston or any other drug addict.

they all OD'd on Pot did they?....or were they doing something much harder?....

Users are like the guy at the party, making a fool of himself and in his mind is just more funny and more popular.

i got news for you Katz....it isn't the guy doing Pot that makes a fool out of himself at Parties.....you would know this if you actually went to Parties.....

Katz - You made it through law school, lol? Based on observations on your reasoning skills, I'm growing skeptical. You're telling me that a guy who smokes once or twice on the weekends, while not at work is a drug addicted pothead?

Doesn't make sense. Addict would imply that the person cannot quit (ie is addicted), and needs to use the drug every day to get by - right? Via personal experience, I can say that most pot smokers - like me - can pick it up and drop it in an instant. That's just how the drug is.

I'm on a 10 day vacation with my wife's sisters + family. We're having a few drinks here or there, however I have absolutely no cravings for marijuana (nor did I bring any). Try seeing if a tobacco smoker can do the same.

Sorry m'lady, but you're somewhat of an ancient relic in viewpoint on the subject.

Drug addicts are so invested in using, like alcoholics are invested in drinking that until they hit bottom, there's no rationality that can permeate the drug haze.

so Katz....just like Rabbi and Rottweiler..... two other people who have no clue about Pot users....but think they do.....WHY did you not answer my questions?......they mysteriously avoided them too,how about YOU?.....let me ask again.....have you ever tried Pot?.....have you ever been around a Pot crowd.....and i dont mean a Party were there was some people smoking it....i mean people who smoke often that you have been around for a good length of time....but do not do any hard Drugs? .....

I have never used pot. I have been around it many many MANY times. In one party the pot smoke was so bad, my heart started to race and I ended up at the hospital. Pot will sometimes make the heart race and that's what it does to me. All the pot smokers that did not move on to harder drugs were losers. Just losers. They had no drive or ambition. The pot smokers that DID, also used cocaine for that feeling of power. Of course, all these people that I knew are long dead now. Dead from conditions associated with their drug use. One attorney that I knew used pot, exclusively. He thought it helped him deal with chronic back pain. He thought he received a benefit from his pot use right up to the day he was disbarred for negligence over and over again he screwed his clients. I testified at his disbarment hearing about his pot use and how the office tried to cover it up. His son, also a pot smoker, drove off a freeway, dead too.

I've had boyfriends smoke pot, back in the day when I thought it was harmless. They were boring, useless wastes of skin who had brief periods of intelligence when they weren't high and then they became not worth it anymore. Those brief flashes of worthiness were too infrequent.

My step granddaughter is a pot smoker. She doesn't think of herself as a drug addict because she doesn't use anything but pot. She was smoking with her friends when they got the munchies. She left her six year old to take care of the 8 month old and they all went out with the three year old to 7-11. Except my slut step granddaughter forgot the kid was with her. The child was wandering around the parking lot and got hit by a car. It didn't kill her, but her legs were crushed. She can walk, with difficulty. The slut never took her daughter to physical therapy, never had the surgery. Why bother, just smoke pot and all those bad things just go away.

Pot serves the same thing today as soma did in 1984. It's pretty horrifying if you've read 1984. Just smoke some weed, don't think about it. It's all good.

I have never known a drug user or an alcoholic that knew that it was their using that was affecting their lives. It was always something else. Someone else. I've done thousands of divorces. Probably hundreds directly related to drug use or alcoholism. There is no difference. The families still fall apart the same way and the user or drunk justifies their using or drinking to the very bitter end. Even when they lose their kids, it doesn't help. I've seen pot smokers have strokes and heart attacks, always looking to something else. They have to. They can't accept what's really happening to them. And, really, they don't even know until the very end. They think everything is going along just fine.

I know a woman today who is a long time pot smoker. Her husband divorced her over it. She had no idea it was the pot. She always thought he got a girlfriend. Now she has a medical marijuana card to treat her fibromyalgia. She doesn't have fibromyalgia. She needs her fibromyalgia really bad to justify her pot use. She's bedridden. The pain is so bad she can barely move. Her 87 year old mother takes care of her. Good thing she paid $250.00 to pay the pot doctor to diagnose her fibromyalgia. No legitimate doctor will see her until she gives up the pot.

I can go on, my landlord whose 13 year old son moved out to live with his grandmother because he was sick of his Dad's pot use. One would think the guy would have learned when his other son moved in with his non pot smoking mother.

So yes. I've known a lot of people who use pot and never moved on to any harder drugs. A lot of failed lives, a lot of lost potential. It's like the soma in 1984, smoke some pot, you'll feel better.

Now, the second question, the answer you were looking for, have I ever known a long term pot smoker that wasn't a loser? Yes, they just weren't non losers for long. And they never saw it coming! That's the part that was the most startling. They never saw the end staring them in the face! They thought they had it all under control right up to the very end.

The Irony of listening to someone that has displayed such Orwellion fascism invoking 1984 ...furthermore I believe in 1984 it was the government approved drug...not an illegal medical herb used against the wishes of the state

link ?...certainly this story made the news ?

Pot serves the same thing today as soma did in 1984. It's pretty horrifying if you've read 1984. Just smoke some weed, don't think about it. It's all good.

really seems to me there are legions of pot smokers involed in issues of social concern ?

if one was actually a divorce lawyer would it not be expected you would only see the failed families ?

are you claiming a link to marijuana and heart disease ?...link ?

you are actually claiming legitimate doctors will not treat people who smoke marijuana...that's absurd

I can go on,

That much is obvious

my landlord whose 13 year old son moved out to live with his grandmother because he was sick of his Dad's pot use. One would think the guy would have learned when his other son moved in with his non pot smoking mother.

what kind of sickness due to exposure to marijuana was this child diagnosed with ?...link ?

and then as they drew their last breath they realized they were wrong and you were their to witness this event on multiple occasions ?...are you really ranting a ranting histrionic loon or do you just play one on the internet ?

My experience with pot users was very different. When marijuana use was relatively novel, and not something most people were familiar with, it was easy to scare them with 'reefer madness'. But now, a couple generations have grown up around pot and pot users and they've seen something different. They've seen that most people who smoke pot are just normal people leading normal lives. I suspect that's why the legalization efforts are gaining more support.

Speaking of novels, I think that's what Katz' post is. And not a believable one.

Either that or she hangs out with a really really questionable demographic.

You can smell the fear in here. I struck a nerve. Was that you, or just someone you know?
