In summer the gird is at maximum capacity and there is dangers of brown outs and black outs from lack of investment in infrastructure. Actually if a terrorist really wanted to cause US damage go after their infrastructure especially power during the summer.

The problem is that street level businesses are leaving their doors open while their air conditioners are blasting. It's meant to "attract" customers because when you walk past the store you are getting a blast of cold air.

It's incredibly wasteful and bad for the environment.

Energy to power a/c comes from what's causing the climate change. If you're leaving windows n doors open you're wasting energy adding unnecessary strain on the climate.
