and you act like you are the only one to work those kind of hours! I may younger then you but I have work my share of seven days a week from about 7am until 10:30 getting at 12 so I could go to my next job and I just did because I could. Now I go to school full time and work full time plus have a one year old. So go whine somewhere else!

On the other hand, when you hear about what happens in some foster homes and think about the effect it has on a kid to be taken from a parent, I'm glad they don't go overboard. It must be a really tough call for DCS workers to make.

We just had a couple convicted 60 plus years each for murder by abuse. They were dunking the girl under water when she wouldn't listen, burn her with a cigarette, and pulled out chunks of her hair and before the night she died they had no CPS file!

A very rational post. We did have a situation here in Florida, however, a few years ago, where the system clearly failed: A foster care worker was falsifying her reports on kids in custody, and one of the little girls got lost. It took years to learn that she'd likely been killed by her caregiver:
