It wasn't that long ago that they were herded out of the jungle. They haven't had enough time to develop peaceful domestic traits to fit into a modern society. Something pisses of the apes, instinctively, they get violent right off. They belong back in the jungle where they can war against each other with spears and clubs and live in mud huts.
