Ryan's lies too

Does it seem odd that the aprons are so SPOTLESSLY WHITE?

How Paul Ryan Pretended To Volunteer At A Soup Kitchen | ThinkProgress

President of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, Brian J. Antal, told the Washington Post that he had no interest in making his organization a political talking point: “we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations… It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors… The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”

Those are not lies. He was telling the truth.
It's hard to get the truth out when Dems are the ones who are lying and the Media is in bed with them and continues to push the lies.

What I find amusing is that Progressives accuse Mitt Romney of "lying" simply because his plans don't match what THEY say his plans are.

Barack Obama has spent the last six months telling the voters what HE thinks Mitt Romney's plans are and the Main Stream Media has cooperated with that narrative.

So when Romney says...No, here's what I'm going to do...he's accused of lying because the last thing that the far left wants if for the voters to get an accurate look at what their choice is in this upcoming election.

An accurate look would be awesome. Then, I suspect, they'd see he's going to do pretty much the same stuff Obama's been doing. But I admit, that's a guess. The thing is, Romney doesn't lie so much as just change his mind. A lot. So when Romney says ... No, here's what I'm going to do ... even if we like what he's saying, and even if we believe he's telling the truth, why would we believe he won't change his mind as soon as it's expedient to do so?

No, he's accused of lying because what is currently coming out of his mouth doesn't square up with what used to come out of his mouth. It really IS that simple.

Listen, Dblack...the fact is, Mitt Romney is a moderate. As a moderate running for the Republican nomination he had to tailor his message to appeal to the largest number of GOP voters as possible. What I've always advised people when looking at politicians statements when running for office is to ignore the words and focus on their ACTIONS.

The Obama Campaign is trying to do two things. They are trying to label Mitt Romney as an extreme conservative who will do things like fight to take away a woman's right to choose and at the same time they want to label him as a flip flopper on issues.

What they REALLY don't want the American people to focus on is Mitt Romney's "actions" when he was the GOP Governor of a heavily Democratic State like Massachusetts because the truth is...Mitt Romney ISN'T a far right candidate! He isn't "extreme" at all! He's got a history of governing from the center and including the other side prominently in the process. He's never made abortion a high priority issue and with all of our other problems to deal with it's almost laughable that the Left wants you to believe he will make it one if he's elected President.

Look, Mitt Romney is a moderate who plays well with others...has extensive business and executive experience...is a man of exceptional character and has a long history of fixing things that are broken. The question isn't why SHOULD you vote for Romney...the question is why on earth would you NOT given the alternative?

"Moderate" is a deceptively vague term, especially in the context of the myopic left/right perspective on politics. What does it even mean? It's usually applied to candidates who seem 'somewhere between left and right', but that can take radically different forms. Libertarian views are 'somewhere between left and right' on that same scale, but there's an obvious difference between someone like Gary Johnson, and "moderates" like Obama or Romney.

I agree with you that the Democrats trying to scare everyone by making Romney out to be extreme right wing are completely wrong. But so are the Republicans who claim Obama is a socialist. If we do as you suggest, and look at their actions - at how they actually govern - they are much more similar than they are different.

Perhaps by 'moderate' you mean candidates who aren't ideologues, and on that I'd agree that neither Romney or Obama are ideologues. It's tempting to assume they don't have any political ideology at all, but I think that's wrong. They are both corporatists at heart, and see government as a tool to 'manage' society - rather than as a servant to protect our freedoms. This is an ideology that is anything but 'moderate'. It dispenses with the rule of law, deigns individual rights subordinate to group power-sharing, and grants more and more power to government.

Obama is a socialist, dblack
The Government now owns stock in GM and won't let GM buy back their own stocks.
He constantly does class warfare.
He thinks that goods should be shared by the people.
All of the above is Socialism.
