It’s been almost a decade and a half and relative health care costs haven’t grown. Real per beneficiary Medicare spending is still at 2010 levels (after 45 years of steady growth up until 2010). This is unprecedented stuff.

It’s 2023, the data are in. Record coverage, under budget, vast overperformance on savings, better access, better quality and health outcomes, untouchable in Congress (even the GOP doesn’t dare talk about laying a finger on it anymore, for good reason).

Just the opposite, both are for funding Ukraine ever more, but at least on that score McCarthy has had a tiny bit of public restraint that didn't matter... none from ZPF McConnell

Tax and spending cuts budgets in the 1990s brought America great prosperity, and you HATE THAT TRUTH.

The reason they could afford those cuts was because the economy was doing well due to the information technology revolution. That's what caused the prosperity.

GW Bush cut taxes and the economy went into the tank. Reagan cut taxes in the early 1980s and the economy went into the tank. Reagan then ballooned Federal spending to get the economy going again.
