By a vote of 6-3, the justices ruled that the law that Joseph Fischer was charged with violating, which bars obstruction of an official proceeding, applies only to evidence tampering, such as destruction of records or documents, in official proceedings.

You can find ample evidence to suggest Republicans don’t respect the law too. These anecdotes don’t really prove much. A big difference is that Republicans have a tendency to make excuses for their own lawlessness, complaining about “unfair” prosecutions and engaging in whataboutism.
