Minneapolis 'Umbrella Man' who sparked Floyd Riots fire is Hell's Angels member

So a Hell's Angel and a know associate of a Aryan prison gang--is anyone really surprised?

A man captured on surveillance video smashing windows at a Minneapolis AutoZone in the wake of George Floyd’s death is a Hells Angels member bent on stirring up social unrest, police said.

Nicknamed “Umbrella Man” for his all-black getup that included a hood, gas mask and black umbrella, police said the man’s actions led to arson -- the first of several that sent peaceful protests into chaos.

Police identified the 32-year-old suspect through a tip last week. Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder told the Associated Press Tuesday he could not confirm the name of the person involved, but said the investigation remains open and active.
“This was the first fire that set off a string of fires and looting throughout the precinct and the rest of the city,” Minneapolis police arson investigator Erika Christensen wrote in a search warrant affidavit this week, according to the Star Tribune.
A video taken two days after Floyd’s death, on May 27, showed “Umbrella Man” breaking out the windows of an AutoZone store with a sledgehammer. Some protesters asked him to stop.

Before that, the man spray-painted an expletive-laced phrase on the front doors, police said. The AutoZone fire was the first that firefighters responded to during the civil unrest, Assistant Minneapolis Fire Chief Bryan Tyner said Tuesday.
In the affidavit, Christensen wrote that she watched “innumerable hours” of video on social media platforms trying to identify the suspect with no luck. Then, a tipster emailed the Minneapolis Police Department identifying him as a member of the Hells Angels biker gang who “wanted to sow discord and racial unrest by breaking out the windows and writing what he did on the double red doors,” according to the affidavit.
An investigation found that the man was also an associate of the Aryan Cowboy Brotherhood, a White supremacist prison and street gang based mainly in Minnesota and Kentucky. Several of its members were in Stillwater, in eastern Minnesota, late last month when a Muslim woman was confronted by a group of men wearing White supremacist garb.

OMG! I have never heard so much BS about a guy before. A Racist, a BLM supporter, a cop, and Antifa member. I really don’t care who he was, he is a white guy and the all look the same to me.

I am not ignoring anything. But let me suggest a few things here.

There is no such thing as MSM in the way that the rightwing wants to claim. All media is equal - from the crappiest blog propaganda sites to well researched ethical sites. They are all equally accessable (but NOT equally accountable). The average person gets his news now from where? How many news sources are available at the click of a mouse? The only thing MSM means now...is "traditional".

As far as rightwing sources....how does the number of outlets compare to the overall proportions? Rupert Murdoch of News Corp and Fox, huge conglomerates. Fox is one of the Top Five media companies not all of which are "news".

We actually should be very worried about this but that is another topic.

As far as rightwing media being a dominant force in American politics? Yes. It absolutely is. Much more so than other media. Radio talk shows have propelled conservatism - a particular brand of conservatism from the time of Newt Gingrich. More so than the equivalent on the left...for whatever reason, the left doesn't follow media in the same way. Perhaps they get a bigger kick just out of listening to themselves opine.

That is a well thought out response. But debating it would derail the thread. I am not running away, just trying to stick to relevant discussion.

Eh...I hope that made sense to you.

Yes it does...I should start a thread :)

Agreed. :D
Done :)

If The Hell's Angels are Anti-Communist then I have no problem with them :smoke: Biker Gangs are okay and so are Surfer Gangs.
If they are a right wing white supremacy group, trying to exploit protests hoping the blame will be placed on black protesters by taking violent acts and instigating violent riots, looting and burning, do you have any problem with that? Or is it just fortunes of random urban warfare and domestic terrorism, acceptable to those on the right if they start it?

I think the story is bullshit, because they didn't mention the fellow's name.

I have known bikers in my day, but I've never known one to carry an umbrella.

Further, I don't see the motivation here. The mission of the Hell's Angels is to ride motorcycles and to have wild parties. This action caught on video doesn't seem to promote that mission in any way.

"Twitter didn’t seem to mind incitement to violence by liberals such as Colin Kaepernick. He tweeted that “revolting is the only logical reaction. … We have the right to fight back!”

Colin Kaepernick is in no way a "liberal". He is a Marxist leftist and now that black Minneapolis residents have discovered , like LA residents of the riots of 1992, that a revolt (rioting, looting arson and other criminal conduct) only hurts the people Kaepernick claims to help.

A worthless bag of shit like George Floyd will not be avenged by burning down many of the places where blacks worked and made a living. Kaepernick is "revolting" alright.
His syntax reveals a less than stellar mind.

Ok, so one person who isnt a democrat broke a couple windows. What is your point?

This thread is nothing but a pathetic attempt to broad-brush the other side.

You, the reader, would be wise to ignore it.
Nope..this thread is to introduce the possibility that despite all your rhetoric about violent protestors....the riot was deliberately started by a white supremacist. Of course...it could be that Fox is engaging their tendency to put fake news out. What say you?
How does a guy breaking windows force other people to burn shit down? He could have broken 100 windows in front of me, but im still not going to join him. :cuckoo:

Quit excusing your wide spread left wing violence and destruction.

there is more driving this then politics

It's called human nature. (And I don't say that in a condescending tone).

Yes...and we, America, is worried, afraid and angry...and we can't always articulate our fears.

America's conscience is in conflict with itself. It cannot resolve the crisis it is confronted with.

Can you elaborate?

In essence, America is deeply divided. So divided in fact, that it cannot derive a cogent solution to the ongoing crisis we are facing now. Racism, COVID... etc.

One white person's actions caused THOUSANDS of blacks to engage in criminal activity. Wow! White people are powerful!

Even if the Umbrella Man isn't a member of the Democrat Party, it doesn't mean he is a hells angel or a Republican.

I have never once seen anyone commit a crime and then decided to destroy my own neighborhood.

To START a riot, one needs lots of dick for brains sheep to actually make it a riot.

He look to clean-cut to be a biker. His mannerism is as if he was a man of authority because of the way he wasn't surprised of the people capturing him in the act, as if he was above the law.
Most prison gang members are very careful of not letting themselves being exposed. He would of have dressed up for the occasion. But he stand out like a big dark mole on someone's face.

The police have identified him.
:icon_rolleyes:
Sure they have.

I see no mention of his name. The umbrella man is like no hell’s angel I have ever seen. Ever. And I lived where they frequently came to town.

You saw a few on the road as they came through your town, so you know all about them. Isn't that special.

No, they've made a profile and a template, and are trying to squeeze a suspect into that mold.

They really don't know anything, or the man would already be paraded in front of the media.

Remember that Minneapolis is a Radical Left city, and they are committed to demonizing certain groups.
