1. It is illegal according to federal law to interfere with or impede federal agents in the performance of their operations.

2. Putting your vehicle crossways in the street was a clear intent to impede the operation in question. Ergo, Ms Good broke that law and would not and did not move her car out of the way.

3. Federal agents requested her to move the car. She did not and was therefore subject to arrest. Spare us the bullshit that this was minor traffic violation, that is not what she was going to be arrested for.

4. Ms Good refused to move her car and refused to exist the vehicle, which if I am not mistaken is also breaking another federal law. Instead, she tries to leave the scene, presumably to avoid being arrested.

5. In so doing, she drove the car in the direction of an ICE agent, close enough to where he believed himself other agents might have been endangered. Videos appear to show that he was struck a glancing blow from the car and he opened fire.


I do not condone the shooting. But Ms Good's illegal actions created the drama in the 1st place. Had she stayed on the sidewalk and yelled her head off, she would be alive today. Had she exited the vehicle she would be alive today. Had she SLOWLY tried to leave the scene instead of hitting the gas, she would be alive today. But she didn't do any of those things and ended up dead.

It may be that the shooter did not strictly follow the guideline procedures. He may face prosecution of his part in all this, either internally within his organization and also in both federal and state courts. We shall see how it plays out.

If the police would do their job and ICE wasn't required to do two jobs, then things might just go a little easier without a lot of tragedy and utter nonsense.

It is interesting that the mayor is certainly not that fond of that idea and would rather promote political nonsense than any responsible or worthwhile policy that can actually address the law, any reasonable concerns, or the safety of the people.

When that kind of negligence is all the community leaders can provide, it is time for other leadership to handle what is necessary in attempts to mitigate the consequences the best they can, and it won't be pretty.

If you don't want jackbooted thugs, then stop demanding you get them through senseless policy, and a reckless disregard towards the actual welfare of the people involved.
