Militia group calls on members to patrol polls on election

2 new black panther guys at one polling spot for primarily black voters, out of the 50,000+ voting spots that we have, is hardly intimidation by the new black panthers...

When I was young, it was common place, even their job so to say, for black panthers to patrol voting places to protect black people from being intimidated by white voters....

@Old

Oh don't worry, I'll pop down my $5k exit fee and go join my wealthy buddies who already fled the punishment for being successful in America. No door will be hitting /me/ in the ass. I think its actually your socialist camp moving in that will be the ones with the door hitting them in the face - it'll be real hard to pay for all your socialist agendas when there's no one wealthy left to steal from. They've already driven out businesses and the wealthy, it's only a matter of time before they bleed the remainders dry.

PS - It greatly amuses me that ya'll get so bent about me making a /personal/ choice about what government I am willing to let rule over me. It's like ya'll sheep can't stand the idea of someone disagreeing with you - even when they're leaving you alone to do as you wish. It's rather telling.

It's still America, and anyone who rises up against it will be unhappy at what happens to them.
Unfortunately, it's appearing that more than one "America" is emerging. Is it the Black Lives Matter America that should prevail? Or muslim-America? Or christian-America? Or LBGT-America?
What a shame that we are no longer a melting pot where all new comers wanted to be AMERICANS.
You choose what you think you can be safely bigoted about. Ignoring all the colored people that are working for there families and this nation, many in our armed forces. It would be like assuming all the conservatives in this nation are like those that infested the Malhuer Game Reserve.
I grew up in the rural South. We didn't see much difference. Colored and "whites" shared everything. We didn't have hyphenated Americans. Personally, I think the South integrated earlier than Northern cities did. My personal experience growing up was that most black families were as conservative as you can imagine.

Holy crap, too bad we don't have a BS icon for other posts.

Bs? Black panthers were a fringe group when I was younger. They didn't patrol polling places until the last couple of elections?
How do you think their published activities are affecting black voters?

I was very young, I lived in NYC...Brooklyn, 1st and 3rd and 5th grades ( my father was in the Air force and served a year in vietnam during those times and had other TDY duties so we lived with my maternal grandparents while dad was away, and also as a stopping point for us, before we moved to where ever they were going to transfer and station Dad next.... he usually went ahead of us, and got us housing or a home off base, and my sister and I would finish out our school year in Brooklyn with my grandparents, before making the next move)

The Black panthers protected black people, from white intimidation....and positioned themselves in front of polling spots.

This is sick, but at least they'll be doing it incognito, not intimidating voters as they walk into the polling place. I still want one of you--any of you--to explain to me what a watcher can "see" that will spot illegal voting.

What? But I thought you agreed with the NBPP and their "guarding" of the polling places....

Dunno whatever made you think that. Just a "throw me in the liberal box" thing?

Both parties have poll watchers. It's nothing new. I did it a few times when I lived in Boston. You're basically there to make sure everyone is following the election laws.
At our town hall the watchers are easily identified and don't sneak around (our town is so small everyone would know anyway). Did you do it incognito?
Same here, our community is so small and everyone already knows pretty much how everyone else votes.
Only the hairdresser knows for SURE. We don't ask. You can tell if you want, but a lot of people will give you the hairy eyeball for asking.

I'm waiting to see if the people are going to clean house or just continue to sweep it under the rug.

I used to love America, but it's not the America I was born into, nor taught about in school. When folks can't even put a political bumper sticker on their car without it being vandalized that's a serious fucking problem. You are free to ignore the signs Sir, but personally I don't know how you can be 73 and not see the losses and the path that the US is headed down. If you saw a cliff up ahead you'd turn away before you went over it too. I choose /not/ to ignore the reality of what is going on in America - both in political corruption, but also the mindset of its people. The people of America have gone feral and I have zero interest in having to shoot them like dogs when they try to steal my shit or abridge my freedoms. You think your uncles and father would be proud of the crap that is happening in the US today? If you do then you're just snowing yourself.

My entire family was military - came over fleeing thee nazi's and turned straight around to go back and fight once the wife and kids were safe. Hell I was almost born in Germany because my father was stationed there. Don't talk to me about "nationalism" and "patriotism" - I had that for the original America, not this new thing which violently objects to all manner of freedoms that /used/ to be why folks came to America in the first place - to escape persecution, to have freedom of religion, to have a say in their government, to be capitalists... All of that is gone or going away now.

As for my "shortcomings" I don't have any. My life is pretty great, kind of why I won't stay if Hillary is elected - because the government will then /change/ my life for the worse - simply to provide for their voter base. I will be /punished/ because I invested wisely and made a good life for myself. It is absolutely not American to punish success, it is absolutely not American to steal from others, it is not American to FORCE someone to contribute to what amounts to a national charity fund.
Are you going back to Germany? They have universal health care, too, you know. Oh well, I'm sure you know what you're doing.

No I'll be stopping over in France where all my buddies now live as I've got a chalet there, but actually I'm seriously considering /not/ having a nation. My research has found that Statelessness (ie claiming citizenship in no country at all) is actually protected under the Geneva Convention so I'd actually be free to travel and stay in any participating country (with minor hassle since my past is easily searchable/documented) So basically I'd just be "visiting" - and especially in this day and age of "open borders" there's only a few places that I'd have trouble visiting in the world - and I suspect even they will be sympathetic to my plight when I bill myself as a political "refugee" with a crap ton of money. Sure they don't get taxes from me, but they do get me spending my money in their country whilst I'm there, not many have issues with that (once its shown that I'm not a security risk.)

Its funny, I am using the same concept as all the refugee immigrants you folks are welcoming with open arms, they're fine, but I'm in the wrong. See they don't like their government so they flee their country. Same thing with me. Again it's telling. The hypocrisy is astounding, and ya'll can't even see that you're doing it because you folks are just that clueless about your supposed "closely held beliefs."

Militia group calls on members to patrol polls on Election Day
Amid growing concerns about possible violence and vote fraud on Election Day, the Oath Keepers, a national group of former military and law enforcement officers, has urged its members to “blend in” with voters and do “incognito intelligence gathering and crime spotting” at polling places across the country on Nov. 8.

Well if things have to be fair they have to be fair and when we have to be watched like big babies because Liberal Democrat lovers can not play fair games as they cheat', lie, and steal these votes what else is left to do but watch them like a hawk.
Hopefully it doesn't end up like the Bundy' ranch.
I live in a SYG state and I'm tellin you straight up, some hillbilly white mf come near my black ass with some shit....he's getting his white ass kicked, end of fuckin story!!

That has never been the case. The vast majority of americans have always IDed themselves as hyphenated americans.

White people hate when Black people show they will protect themselves. 2 Black Panthers protecting a polling place is 2 too many.

Yes they did patrol polling places. I should know. I have several uncles that were BPP.

I'm not criticizing you. I predict there will be a large expat community in Europe and elsewhere growing in the next decade. You gotta do what you gotta do to protect your crap ton of cash.

Gotcha. Well idk how much growth we'll see in "wealth flight" - The majority of my friends bailed during the whole 1% vs the 99% thing because they felt they were unwanted in the US. Like 40% of my wealthy friends left the country during that, another few left when Sanders was getting so much popularity. Maybe half the ones who remain are in the same boat as me, the other half don't think Hillary can touch their "loot" (Their "de-facto leader" talks like a pirate all year ~rolls eyes~ )

Will the streets of Paris once again be frequented with the likes of Hemingway, Henry Miller, Anais Nin? Another lost generation. Travel safe.
