Mikhail Bridges makes game winning plays at the end to put the Knicks up 2-0.

I almost never live bet, it's a slippery slope, a great way to throw good money after bad.

However, I thought Ant Man would go off, and he is busting again, will he break his slump in the 4th? So I live bet him to get 20 points, only because I had no bets placed previously on this game. If he gets 20 my $15 gets me back $47 (His total when the game started was O/U 28.5 pts.)

Like you bet shows, luve bets can get better odds (was 29, chg to 20).

Say the favorite is -200 to win. NFL Game starts & other team goes ahead 7-0 first minute. Now your favorite becomes positive most likely...with whole game left.

I would not have live bet that game if I placed a bet on it before it started. As a rule, I don't live bet unless something seems so obvious to me that I can't pass it up.

I remember a Rams/Bears game in Chicago and the weather turned nasty, Bears were getting points and I jumped all over that Bears bet with points, and predictably the Rams spent the rest of the game slipping and sliding away to a loss.

My nephew does those parlays where you can adjust the spreads for each leg. He will build up a 9 or 10 leg parlay that way and has won several of those. So even though he's won 30 or 40 grand on those bets he's way down because he goes to casinos and loses his ass at the tables. ARRRGH!!!

I told you I quit the NBA ~2000 when they cheated SAC vs the Lakers. I had even gone to SAC playoff games in the cheap end zome deck.

And LA (kobey) vs. The Warriors they literally rigged the end of game to get LA into the playoffs. Don't remember the year. But it was blatant, on CA TV.

I used to love the NBA up to then. I came back on Jimmy Butler & MIA beating MIL etc. That last second miracle to force OT.

Other than that? I watched some playoff only elimination games last minutes of 4th quarters GS jungle ball vs. CLEVE.

The discrepancy and craziness of foul calls is maddening back then. Is it better now? The traveling, steps, palming, carrying the ball is off charts. They literally shift pivot foot. They run carrying the ball, no call.

Gambling *mostly on points) brought me back now watching more.

Get off me!

I lived in Sacramento when they were good! That was a travesty in 2001, but Stern had already proved how corrupt he was earlier that season! IIRC, he saw Lakers would barely make the playoffs as the 8th seed going against the Kings! He changed the BO5 to BO7 in the middle of the season! HOW do you change something like that so last minute? The investigation into the refs was a joke as they were never spoken to about how unfair the calls were to Sacramento allowing LA to steal that playoff series! Chris Webber didn't need to tip that missed Laker shot back to Robert Horry either in Game 4 of that Conf. Final! :auiqs.jpg: :meow::stir::rolleyes:

Betting is dumb.

I’ve spent a lot of my life watching sports on TV or trying to play a lot of them. I know some stuff.

If I am going to sit thru 4-NCAAB games on nearly the same time (burning up remote all day long) I want to play. It’s not all bad, keeping you sharp, working with numbers, looking thru stats, figuring points possibilities, All Sunday NFL red zone. 10-20 active bets going in the morning all at once coming at you.

Yes, you can lose your arse. Or you can get head on in a car crash going to WalMart. Nothing is guaranteed to you forever.

Things change. Right now I like trying to beat (or lose small) the system.

The Sixers had Jimmy butler, had Mikail bridges for ten minutes after drafting him and then trading him and ended up with nothing and could have drafted Jason Tatum. This after having Joel Embiid and ben Simmons.
