I've concluded that a snake would be ashamed of Paul Ryan's personal ethics and integrity. But if this is true I would be really disappointed in Mike Pence. I have disagreed with Pence on policy matters but have not questioned his ethics.

But he wouldn't be the first person to disappoint me that way.

I've always believed somebody put Billy Bush up to instigate and make that tape--I can't see he had any motive otherwise--but I always assumed it was someone from the deep state left along the lines of the Steele Dossier. It is horrifying to think it came from one of our own.

That tape was made long before Trump entered any race. They had it for a long time. Nobody ever imagined it would be made public in a political race

I don't think everybody in the political class is deep state though. Some are just professional politicians meaning they will put politics ahead of whatever the best interests are more often than not but they are not inherently evil. I believe the deep state is thoroughly evil.
