Sil, absolutely true in your thinking. The "Dem ass kicking across the board" has been in play for a while now. One can slam the TP'ers all they want but it was that period which set this revolt in place. Both Dem and Repub in general were sick of the extremes being imposed by the middle faction of Government. The TP traction was a moving force. The Dems banked on the young, loud and disruptive movement to bleed into the general population. It did not and the remainder is history. The young and unexperienced student was body slammed by the older experienced and work hardened general population. That is why these do nothings have taken to the streets across the Nation. They had no influence and feel they have been speaking to non hearing ears. And that is true, they were not heard then and far more hurtful is they have no influence now. The emphasis on jobs in both campaigns is fact. That was not Hillary's primary problem. Her problem is she was not trusted, she was shrill, and in general, nothing more than a pain in the ass. Trump is no gem in the rough either, but was simply easier to believe and trust. Of interest is the thumping that Media has taken. That is truly the moment I have wanted to see for many years. That also has been shrill and non serving for the media. They have openly proven how biased and ineffective they have become. The question is, have they, the media, learned anything? Good talking to you.

Wrong. Too complicated. It simply was gay marriage and dudes going into girls' showers in schools. This is Occam's Razor time. Those two concepts are viscerally repugnant. And that's how rural voters vote. Hoofbeats? It's a horse...not your herd of zebras..

Remember, it wasn't just Trump who won, it was republicans across the board. That means it was a protest against dems vote. Very easy to round that vote up if the People believe dems = gay marriage etc, which everybody knows is playground common knowledge.

^^ Yes, and the vast majority of his voters didn't know he supported gay crap. In fact, he came out saying he didn't support gay marriage but quickly added he'd been to several and thought they were "beautiful". If you haven't picked up that the guy has no compass at all, welcome to reality. He says anything he needs to say in order to get what he wants in the moment. He isn't even sure what that will mean from day to day...except his ability to bask in attention.

I suppose next you're going to gloat about "a majority of Americans support deranged men in women's restrooms!" And expect readers to believe that tripe. And yes, Trump came out in favor of that too, in an obscure youtube video which both sides of the media agreed to not harp on; each for their own very different reasons. It didn't help Hillary though, because everyone associates "democrat" with "LGBT cult". And so, the dems got their asses whooped.

Ah if only the Trumpees were sophisticated like you and me mdk. Yes, this election would've been different. But they're not; they're visceral beings who hypnotically focus on repeated statements, ignoring single events. Something that flew right over the head of dem strategists. Now they know. So they can be better prepared for 2018 & 2020...
