Black is white. Peace is war. Up is down.

Michele Bachmann is now asserting that the issue of Internet network neutrality, known as "net neutrality," is an evil Obama administration plot to censor the Internet.
She told Sean Hannity last night -- unchallenged:

"So whether they're attacking conservative talk radio, or conservative TV or whether it's Internet sites, I mean, let's face it, what's the Obama administration doing? They're advocating net neutrality which is essentially censorship of the Internet. This is the Obama administration advocating censorship of the Internet. Why? They want to silence the voices that are opposing them. Despite the fact that they continue to have much of the mainstream media still providing cover for all of these dramatic efforts that the Obama administration is taking. So they're very specifically and pointedly going after voices that they see are effectively telling the truth about what the Obama administration is trying to do."
But it's exactly the opposite:

Network neutrality (also net neutrality, Internet neutrality) is a principle proposed for user access networks participating in the Internet that advocates no restrictions by Internet Service Providers or governments on content, sites, or platforms, on the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and on the modes of communication allowed, as well as communication that is not unreasonably degraded by other traffic.
My mind still boggles at times how Michele Bachmann is actually in such a position of power that she is in. It's very scary that someone that batshit insane is voting on our laws.

Government 'Accidently' Shuts Down 84,000 Websites...
U.S. Government Accidentally Abuses Internet "Kill Switch", Shuts off 84,000 Sites
February 17, 2011 - Government believed the sites contained child pornography, but they did not
In evidence of the dangers of the U.S. government's increasing "kill switch" powers regarding web servers inside the U.S., the Department of Justice and Homeland Security’s ICE last week essentially shut down 84,000 sites in a case of mistaken identity. The shutdowns targeted mooo.com, the most popular shared domain at free web service provider FreeDNS. FreeDNS is a free domain service that is immensely popular among file sharers, blogs, small businesses, and other independent operators. Its homepage is afraid.org.

With the mooo.com shutdown last Friday, the ICE accidentally shut down 84,000 subdomain pages. The pages were all redirected to a banner that stated "Advertisement, distribution, transportation, receipt, and possession of child pornography constitute federal crimes that carry penalties for first time offenders of up to 30 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, forfeiture and restitution." The court order to shut down and redirect the sites was granted via a seizure warrant from a District Court. The warrant was executed as part of the DHS ICE team's "Operation Save Our Children".

The key problem is that none of the sites thus identified under the mooo.com superdomain had child porn on them. They appear to have been the victim of an overzealous government police force with a bit too much power on its hands. FreeDNS has expressed outrage. In a statement, they comment, "Freedns.afraid.org has never allowed this type of abuse of its DNS service. We are working to get the issue sorted as quickly as possible."

Whose more stupid: Michelle Bachmann for making such an idiotic statement, or Sean Hannity for not calling her out on her own stupidity?

It's close, but I'd have to go with Bachmann. You have to assume that Hannity is somewhat intelligent because he can at least carry on radio and television shows.

Well, MB has to say something, whether stupid or not. She did not learn from her reply to the SOUA.

And people don't question her because she's anti-Obama which is good enough for them.

Waiting for the first response that accuses you of hating "strong conservative women".

The GOPtard/Teabagger sales pitch to "core" voters in a nutshell:

The black man in the WH is out to get us all, he's conspiring against us. We all know who "us" refers to.

I see the self proclaimed racial victim has weighed in. :eusa_whistle:
The GOptards and Teabaggers are the ones who've been playing "victim" cards since January 2009.
