You almost gotta laugh. The media (including Fox) claims that (only) small fires were set and presumably only a small Police car was overturned. Actually the hyperventilated and biased mainstream media coverage led the racially motivated radicals to believe a guilty verdict was assured so they were unprepared and unable to muster up a violent riot. The left coast is always prepared to riot and Van Jones had his OWS radicals on the street in Oakland.

Actually the federal trial will be for deprivation of civil rights. This has happened in every major case where a majority white jury has returned a "Not guilty" verdict in a case like this. I have no doubt it will be successful. Reasons?

1, The court location is different, probably Tallahassee (District Court for the Northern District of Florida which runs from Pensacola to Jacksonville and south to about Ocala). Rather than a jury from the county the trial was held in, the jury pool will be from the entire district. It will be a twelve-person jury and the chances of it containing no blacks is zero.

2. Florida's "Stand your ground" law has no bearing on a federal trial. In a case like this there is essentially no viable self-defense strategy. Zimmerman will be portrayed as a racist stalking a black youth for no reason other than race, and since he ended up killing the youth, he obviously deprived Trayvon of his civil rights.

I expect this to be presented to a federal grand jury in four to six months.

Stand you ground was never argued in this case. It had no bearing. Standard self defense was argued and won. Standard self defense applies at the federal level.

That just because 25 years ago people rioted and bad things happened doesnt mean you should stock up on ammo and cower in your homes because the blacks are coming.

I figure the best thing to do is just go about your life, avoid looking for trouble, and let these assholes do what they're gonna do and then they'll have to suffer the consequences. The whole reason this happened is because some prideful little asshole believed all of this black garbage and felt slighted by someone who didn't trust him. Problem is, in that town often times the perp is black.

I noticed a lack of trust by whites with respect to blacks in that area. Maybe experience has taught them something. Blacks that live in the country aren't like this. They're more friendly and for the most part don't carry a chip on their shoulders. If you have better things to do than look for trouble chances are you won't find it.
