Nothing to worry about here, ladies and gentlemen. It's just a fluke. It's a complete coincidence that this happened one week after the GOP had to spend millions defending an R+10 seat that Trump won last year by 22 points. People think very highly of the Republican Party right now and Trump is as popular as ever. BIGLY popular!

Eileen Higgins will be the next mayor of the city of Miami, according to a projection from CNN’s Decision Desk, breaking a nearly 30-year Republican streak in holding the nonpartisan seat and giving Democrats another example of strong performance in elections during the first year of President Donald Trump’s second term.

Higgins, a former county commissioner, will defeat city manager Emilio Gonzalez, who was endorsed by Trump. She won Tuesday’s runoff after leading the first round of voting on November 4 with 35% of the vote to Gonzalez’s 19%.

Democrats are already riding a wave of momentum after a dominant performance in November’s off-year elections and over-performing their 2024 results in Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District, shrinking a 22-point 2024 margin to single digits in a special election last week.

That statement contradicts itself. How could it be nonpartisan and won by a Democrat. That's pretty partisan in most people's opinion. Then again, it's CNN. They have no idea what nonpartisan means.

I am surprised that CNN didn't identify her as a white male.

"She will be the first female mayor of Miami. She will also be the Democratic mayor and the first non-Hispanic mayor since the 1990s."

Don't Taz Me,

First, your avatar is hilarious. Good job finding that one.

It is no surprise what is going on. In my opinion, I believe the Republicans are going to get trounced in the 2026 mid-terms, not so much because of Trump, but because of the alarming ineptitude of the GOP controlled house and senate, I mean really what has the GOP controlled house and senate done??? I, I, I, ah can't think of anything really. Give the Democrats credit, they are unified in what they do, the GOP, they are too busy infighting and betraying their voter base, there is no real motivation to vote for Republicans.

Elise Stefanik one of the very few REAL Republicans completely exposed that pathetic half-pint RINO weasel, Mike Johnson as the deep stage stooge he really is. Many suspected it, but it took a brave REAL Republican like Stefanik to confirm it. Then you have the same RINO scum in John Thune. Trump is not only having to battle the Democrats, he is also fighting RINOs as well. If the stupid party, also known as the GOP was as unified as the Democrats, then they would have accomplished more and would most likely hold onto their majorities in 2026.

To call the GOP house and senate pathetic would in their case be considered a compliment. The GOP base is disgusted and while they would come out in droves to vote for Trump again (I know, he can't run for a 3rd term), but since we can't officially vote for him, the base has seen what a joke the GOP house and senate is, they lack the motivation to go out and vote.

I am not sure when, but I am going to put a post about the GOP, and yes, I am a conspiracy theorist, but, we conspiracy theorists look into things far deeper than most people. Sometimes we are wrong, usually we are correct.

Are Democrat idiots still offering sky high inflation, climate change BS, millions of RAPING MURDERING illegals, depraved sicko trans scumbags, sky high taxes, leaders who stumble around and fall over, sky high crime with no bail or jail? Because that didn't work out so well a year ago. :auiqs.jpg:

Trump endorsing Gonzalez was the key to Higgins victory.

How did Republicans hold a nonpartisan seat?

You guys are desperate

We still do not know what you are going to do. Progressive Socialist Communist agendas may not go well there. Trump mad promises for people who voted for him. However, he may need to question Progressive Socialis people elected after his election. So, depending on what happens after next November's election all bets are off if Prog dominate.

TAZ is on a mission to paint a scenario that MAGA is somehow crashing out.
This is just one of many threads started by him lately to just------> :stir:

Trump fucked a huge part of his base and I think he's not unhappy about keeping democrats competitive

I had noted how Obama swung the Hispanic vote (R) when he failed to follow through on his campaign promises to them.

Now Trump is doing his absolute best to put that vote back (D).

Sadly they like so many others will not come to understand that the answers do not end in (R) or (D).

This is, AGAIN, the post 2024 GOP losing non white and non Christian voters.

We'll see if we get any exit polling, but this is likely exactly what we saw in NJ and VA a month ago, the toxic effect of bowing to the bigoted anti conservative morons cheering Kristi Noem.

The Pro Israel Christian prevents the GOP from expanding into non white non Christian voter bases. Period. The Pro Israel Christian is the problem. The solution is to ignore the Pro Israel Christian and go back to being the GOP before Fox News and W, conservative and patriotic to America. Until the GOP does that, the Dems look like a lock to win everything in 2026 and beyond.

The standard of throwing all illegals out instead of just the liabilities has cost the GOP

VA
Miami Mayor
a winnable NJ Gov seat

the Pro Israel Christians boast of being bigoted, and the Dems don't have to do any campaigning at all except just show America what the Pro Israel Christian really thinks. The GOP had all of the 80-20 issues in 2024. The Dems have all the 70-30 issues now...

supporting Israel
the standard of throwing all illegals out

and until that changes the GOP is going off a cliff...
