The North American Ice Age likely had started to "melt" 1 million years ago, but precisely when NAIA started to melt is very difficult to prove and document and date. My guess is 3 million years ago it started, but that is a guess. NAIA got shut off when the water surrounding Ellesmere Island became water from ice, because it was ice, NAIA ice. When did that happen? Guess 3 million years ago.

As some parts of the world get submerged by rising waters, other parts are rising from isostatic rebound. I believe Canada is still rising.

So basically, populations will move over time to higher ground. The slow ones will get wet socks.

As Canada was fully covered in ice 10,000 years ago, it's steadily rising as it's ice melts. Humans didn't start it's ice to melt, but as Canada rises, the crust warps. So what effect has this had on the earth's climate because climate is just not all about co2.
