I am sure this news will trigger the usual suspects but I dont mind a few years diversion from the typical James Bond fare for a different take on the Bond Universe. They can bring back a dude and James after a break. Daniel Craig killed it and I wouldnt want to follow him either and look like Timothy Dalton... utterly forgettable.

Jessie Buckley is an incredible actress. As long as they handle it like John Wick Ballerina where the 100 lbs woman isnt unbelieveabley out muscling 250lb men I think it will go fine. Ballerina got her ass kicked hand to hand and had to improvise out of it with tools and moves.

Anyway.. nothing will help some of you on this news.

You read correctly: James Bond will be played by a woman for the first time, in the wake of Lashana Lynch briefly taking over the 007 mantle in Daniel Craig’s Bond swansong, 2021’s No Time To Die.

Buckley rose to fame following her role as Rose-Lynn Harlan in Tom Harper’s Wild Rose (2018). The 36-year-old followed that critically acclaimed turn with I’m Thinking of Ending Things, The Lost Daughter, Men and The Bride!, before taking home the Oscar for Best Actress this year for her performance in Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet.

She therefore becomes the first Oscar-winning performer to be cast as Bond.

I hope I’m wrong about this but I can’t see it working. I don’t think the public will buy a female Bond. Can you see her saying the cute little double entendres that have become the trademark of the character? I cannot.

I hope they give her a few movies to see though and don’t pull the plug after one outing.

I'll bet you're a big fan of the latest Star Trek show: Starfleet Academy.

I’m guessing it’s just an April Fools day joke to troll the MAGAs
Nah, it’s real. Unless the press release was faked.

The Bride had terrible reviews.....so of course the left picks the star of that horrible movie to be the new James Bond.

I think the movie industry is dying.

They actually gave an Oscar to Sean Penn for his portrayal of a degenerate police officer who was literally a rotten scumbag.
But he looked like an ICE officer, so they gave him the Best Supporting Actor nod.
