Work requirements for Medicaid. According to Johnson that idea has has 90% approval. Why it isn't 99%, I attribute to the large percentage of people who are net takers of taxes.

Is that the "cuts to Medicaid" that Democrats are so afraid of? Work requirements?

Of course it is. Democrats don't want work requirements for federal "workers," why would they want it for Medicaid dolees?

Ok, boot the jobless 29 year old from Medicaid. Now he gets sick: goes to the ER. Has surgery. How is it paid for?

This is who Medicaid is for. If that doesn't suit you, then change the laws.
To qualify for Medicaid, you must meet certain criteria:

Here's a perspective:

Liberals measure the success of a program by how many people are in it, getting benefits.
Conservative measure the success of a program by how many people don't need it.

In this case, why doesn't a healthy 29-year-old have a job?

We have removed shame for things like this from society, and the result is there is no incentive for people to improve themselves.

Bill him for it.

Deduct 25% from every federal, state, or local goverment check he ever gets until it’s paid off.

Good Gawd yall! Did you really think we the 90% would be held hostage to that kind of poor poor pitiful me claims on our hard earned money?

Who cares?

He is 29 and able to work. But in your world, I guess the moment he is rightly removed from the program, he will get suddenly sick and require 100's of thousands of dollars in medical expenses.

It's laughable.

He can get a job, if he is smart -- doubtful but who cares -- he'll get a job with medical insurance and can start paying his own way in life.

That doesn’t suit me, so I voted for people who would change it. Did you not watch the election?
